I'm using this to corral my balls of crochet thread. I make doilies and lace trims using size 10 or 20 crochet thread. These usually are NOT center-pull; rather they unwind from the outside in, which means that unless the ball is "controlled" somehow, it will likely wind up across the room somewhere or under the sofa.Enter the Yarn Tainer. This small size is perfect for all of my crochet thread ball sizes, but it's large enough that I can store the unfinished project + hook + instruction sheet inside the jar which helps keep me more organized.No complaints at all -- this is a good quality item, all trims/latches fit perfectly, no rough edges, etc. Solid 5 stars -- I love it!

I liked it, but I thought it was a bit bigger. The only downfall is its small! I would definitely recommend this to others.

perfect size for what I needed

I am so glad I ordered this Yarn Trainer. It's easy to open the container to put in your skein of yarn, and the opening through which the end of the yarn is threaded is large and smooth so that the yarn doesn't catch or shred. This opening is large enough, in fact, to "park" the end of the main knitting needle when you take a break. The container is light but sturdy; I knocked it on to a cement floor without cracking or denting it. Putting two skeins in it is possible, but tight. I plan to order the larger one for when I knit with two or three different yarns at the same time. All in all, I'm very please with the product.

Good item and does what it's supposed to (keep my yarn clean) However don't be fooled by the Sold as a pack of 2, as all you get is one.Seller did refund half the cost but it is still more hassle that you don't need. Somehow it's not their fault apparently.
