Well finished but possibly a little expensive!

Although pricey IMO, these are well honed with nothing to do but apply the graphite. The thin polished head of the axles helps eliminate friction also. Could I get get the garden variety of axles and have to spend time deburring, polishing and trying to get the proper bend? Sure, but it's just one less thing I have to worry about getting right and with no effort. I put my time into the wheels, body aerodynamics, tuning, and weight distribution. I would recommend these axles and good luck to all...........

They worked perfectly to cant the wheels, however they are not pinewood derby approved so the title was misleading. The axles must be magnetic and these are not.

Outrageous price for bent nails, but the hubby really thought they would help the car be faster. Did not help, possibly made it slower

These are a game changer! We opted for pre-polished and bent axles instead of trying to make our own. Saved us tons of time and effort.Buy two sets of 2 ea. Your back axels should be pointed up, and your front ones down. The bend makes it easy to adjust steering with a pair of pliers.Our were packaged smartly: pushed into a foam square so they didn't scratch each other in shipment.My son took 1st and is headed to the district competition!

Don’t think it did much to make the car faster, but that might be user error. Came as expected

The nails are polished, angled and grooved. The head has a slot in it for adjusting with a straight screwdriver which makes steering adjustments SO MUCH EASIER!!! Took 3rd in the championship round.
