To be fair, it worked for like 3 years, so for $20, it's not that bad. The issue is that the grinder part is made of plastic, and it wears out. The one we use for salt is still holding up, but the coarse adjust is basically for show, and the one we used for pepper is FUBAR. If they made the grinder out of ceramic, I'd probably give it a 5/5.

Really love this set. I prefer freshly ground pepper and salt so it's perfect set for me

I have lost count on the number of salt and pepper shakers I've had in my kitchen and dining room. Even though the beautiful wooden sets are decorative, most don't grind kosher salt or fresh peppercorns. Wooden sets don't clean up as easily as these.It took me years of experimentation and lots of trial and error before I finally found the perfect set. These are GREAT!

I have been married with three kids for almost 15yrs. I pride myself in my abilities around the kitchen but the fact that its taken me this long to invest in a real set of salt and pepper grinder is sad. I bought the tall glass set with holder/stand. The state that it arrived in was fantastic and the looks and the usability are equally great. I have got to fidget with the settings of both on things on stuff like like skirt steak for fajitas, stuffed chicken breast and filet mignon (I had to pull out good stuff to test it on what can I say.) I have really loved having these. In my set, I have pink Himalayan salt and basic black peppercorns. Honestly, after the two piece buy of only the two grinders I wish now i had gotten the 3 piece to fill the other with a peppercorn medley or coarse white salt. Maybe this warrants buying a second set for variety. All in all being with a family of five and going through a TON of salt and pepper, fresh is best and I love it this set... so far =)

We have had these grinders for 2 years and yesterday the plastic that holds the center grinder broke. Not able to fix/repair and we are out of the warranty. I will be looking for a grinder with metal parts.

I bought one for myself, then two more for my two adult children after they used mine & loved them much better than ones they had. Love that it came with caddy so I can take it from kitchen to table easily.

I purchased this set after using a set at my daughter's home. They were great and the one used for salt is still going strong. However, after about 9 months of use, the pepper mill broke at the link that supports and retains the grinding mechanism allowing it to fall out rendering it useless. I effected a repair using JB Weld that lasted for awhile only to have the pressure eventually cause it to come apart again. I have ordered another pair in the hope I got a dud and will use one and put the other aside just in case. These would be five-star grinders for sure if the manufacturer would correct that one weak point.

I bought this Nov 2020 and thought I'd have these for much longer. I'm on my 3rd one as the other two broke after regular daily use. I was using regular peppercorns but the grinder seems to break somewhat easily. I had one near the stove which I used frequently, about 4-5 times per week sometimes multiple times a day. The first one broke about 2-3 months. I started using the 2nd one which was the "decorative" one on the dining table and that one seemed to last about 4-6 months and now it's October 2021 and am down to the last one which was stored away thinking I would not use it for awhile. It's a good grinder but seems flimsy if it breaks easily. I've used the glass part as a small vase, at least I'll have that!

Looks good, works well and having three means you can have salt, pepper and the third one with a mixture of your choice of herbs/spices

8 months on the salt shaker has rusted and the screw snapped when changing the grind.Do not purchase if you're looking for something that lasts

The three items in the box were found loose. Fortunately the glass items were not broken. However the plastic cover of one of the jars was cracked by about 10 mm.
