**Q: is humidity sensor external along with temperature sensor on the other side of cable?**
A: Yes

**Q: Can I ask someone on here who posted a photo of the product on top of a terrarium for a crestie, how did you get the wire inside your terra?**
A: The wire for the sensor is very thin, so I just passed it through the tiny gap where the sliding door closes. Approx three years and still original battery.

**Q: Your devices do not come with battery tabs. How do i know how long they have been on for, weeks or months?**
A: ! bought these over 3 years ago ..... and never had to replace the batteries. They are very accurate although I do use laser thermometer to check different areas in the vivariums.

**Q: Will this be alright for a 15 watt heat mat?**
A: It should measure your heat coming from the mat, don't see why it wouldn't.

So, I didn't expect much as theses were cheap, and they don't look high quality when you get the box open. However, they do seem to do the job. When I got them, I sat them on a desk and let them settle and the humidity was within 1% on each device and the temperature seemed to be within 0.5 to 1 degree - so they were pretty close. For the price, you are not going to expect highly accurate, calibrated equipment, but they are sufficient for my needs (two tarantula enclosures) to keep an eye on the temp and humidity - I don't need to be exact on either, so as a guide, these are perfect. If you need something that is highly accurate and that can help you keep temperatures and humudity steady within a degree/% point or two, then you may need to spend a bit more money.
