Then I heard someone provide an antithetical explanation about acid reflux being caused by relatively violent contractions of stomach muscles-- due to INADEQUATE digestive acid quantities in the stomach-- leading to unintentional reflux of acid up into the lower esophagus. At first I reacted like most ignorant physicians--I reflexively dismissed the idea because I wasn't familiar with it and it was counterintuitive to what had been ingrained by med school, residency, and years in practice--being constantly barraged by the incessant and numbing manipulation of thought by clever pharmaceutical profiteers. But due to price of my daily purple pill, I decided to throw caution to the wind and self-test this crazy alternate theory. Ever since that day, I've never again needed a PPI, an H2 blocker, or a "calcium coater" like tums. I take 1 or 2 of these/day with meals. They promote digestion and optimize stomach acid....... And yes, somehow this approach has the ability to negate the need for expensive prescriptions in some people. Go figure.

Smells too much like old socks.... Probably provides good digestive support, but I can't get past the odor.

These have helped my digestion tremendously ! I only take once a day ( cause it seems like enough) and if I accidently skip a day or 2 I will notice a ugly difference. I definantly recommend them to anyone with digestive issues. Also I have noticed that I can eat spicy food again with out any troubles wich I haven't been able to do in a couple years now!
