So these are excellent but a few things to be aware of prior to the review. I paid approximately $120 for these on Amazon Prime but there are other offers for the same sunglasses that are $25 more. They advertise the new upgraded silicone nose pads. These have the silicone nose pads and these were made in Japan dated 11/11/2015. They come in a high class box with what almost seems an oversized hard case and a very nice cleaning cloth. Everything about these glasses scream QUALITY. The first place I went was to a local optometrist office that sells glasses and asked them to fit them on me. Most offices will always do this for free and this has two Prime benefits. First they will fit perfectly and second they won't fall off when you bend over. They come with fairly straight arms and these need to be bent to fit slightly tighter over your ears so they cannot just fall off. Also this makes them better in the case because the arms won't touch the glass. With real glass these would undoubtedly break if they fall on a hard surface. As a retired airline and military pilot I can honestly say these are the best sunglasses I have ever owned. I recently underwent cataract surgery in both eyes and with new interocular lenses in my eyes I am seeing 20/15 distance and everything is quite bright. These glasses simply improve the quality of vvision and are perfect for driving. I had tried a polarized sunglass which you would never be able to wear in an airliner but the problem with a polarized sunglass is that something like a GPS will look strange. If you can get these for close to half of the suggested retail price they are a steal. The shading is perfect. I have read reviews where the small screws might have a tendency to loosen so that is something to monitor.

I've had these sunglasses almost a month now and really do love them. I keep them in my truck and wear them on the road from dawn to dusk They are super comfortable. They eliminate glare and make things clear and crisp. The color is obvious but not over powering. The darkening and lighting effect is subtle but effective. I find they lighten up better then they darken but the gradual top to bottom dark to light works really well in your vehicle making it easier to see the interior dash, gauges, dials then a strait tinted glass does. My one negative is I find they do slide down a lot when walking. I'm sure I could make some adjustments to the arms or ear hooks but I don't use them in that capacity very often and they do stay put when I'm driving which is 90% of the time I'm wearing them. $200 is a lot of money for sunglasses (for me anyway). I don't take the purchase lightly, I buy and wear sunglasses for performance, safety and practicability and not so much for fashion. For years I stayed with Ray-Ban and Oakley and still love my Oakley Jury's. I recently started wearing a pair of Costa's with cognac lenses that are by far my favorite all around go to pair of sunglasses but these Serengeti's even out perform those for driving. These are great driving glases in all weather conditions. I always have kept sun glases in my truck and weare them from dawn till dusk every day. I have owned a pair of polarized Serengeti glases 15 years ago they were very good but heavy because of the glass lenses. The Velocity are very light with the minaral lenses and still have the clarity of a glass lenses. The driver gradient tint is excellant for driving ajusting the darknes as the day or whether changes. I do see a bit of dash reflecting in the windshield however it is not anything that affects you vision and if I put on my Ray Band polirised it disappears. The gradient lenses gives you a great view of your dash and cell phone with the gradient tint. I carry both these and a polirised pair of glass Ray Bands to have the best of both worlds but I were the Serengeti glases all the time they are comfortable and have good side coverage. May be I will buy a pair of polirised gradient Sarengeti in the future. You will like theses glases for quality and great look.

I've been wearing Serengeti sunglasses exclusively since I bought my first pair back in the 80's. I'm not a pilot but do drive a ton of miles. I can honestly say that these sunglasses are exceptional in all light conditions. Clarity plus durability puts them right in line for my needs. Granted, the mineral glass lenses are a bit heavier than other brands my optometrist recommended ( Maui Jim, Revo) but the extra weight just makes the glasses hug my head much better. The Velocity is another notch in their belt. I prefer non-polarized to see all digital displays but there are several models of polarized if u wish. If you are on the fence, give these a try. Highly recommended. Would buy again, of course.

Like most Serengeti sunglasses I have owned over many years, the screw on the frame holding the lens in place always gets loose. Most recently, the entire lens fell out. Thank heavens it fell on my lap. These are my favorite glasses for using during occluded weather and especially rain. I do like these glasses but have to continually check the very tiny screws on the frame and tighten them several times a day. Regarding service, it leaves much to be desired. I sent in another pair that was 3 years old. The screw had fallen out of that pair and the lens fell on the ground and broke. I sent them in for repair and several weeks later received the entire package with a note saying that they could not repair them since they were out of warranty (no joke) and they did not have the parts anymore. Say what? I have four pair of Maui Jim's and sent in a pair in a few months ago that was over 4 years old. They replaced the lens, repaired the frame and returned - all at no cost, even though that pair was definitely out of warranty. Maui Jim has exceptional customer service and a superb product. I do wish Bushnell (Serengeti) would treat their customers as well. Lesson learned with that bunch. If something happens to a pair of Serengeti sunglasses, and they are out of warranty, don't bother spending the time or money to send them in for repair. Very disappointing.

These are great! Not sure how many sunglasses I’ve had in my 52 years alive but these are the most comfortable yet. Both the lens and frame. I’m not a pilot but can definitely see how they’re so popular with that profession. The lens tint/glass renders things super clear, not too bright or too dark, just relaxing. Also like how it’s simple to bend the frame/temple arms to get a very custom fit. The silicon nose pads from Flight Sunglasses are very comfy as well. I was a bit hesitant about the premium price at first but seems well worth it after wearing these for a couple weeks now.

These Serengeti sunglasses are fantastic! I am very pleased with my purchase. They arrived in a timely manner in a very sturdy box. The glasses were packed in a classy Serengeti box within a leather-type holder. No room for glasses to move around during transit. The optical clarity is superb, the comfort is outstanding, and the look makes me feel sexy and stylish. I use them for driving and they make the miles more comfortable. These glasses work well even when I am standing in bright sunlight. I am extremely impressed with these glasses and very glad that I took the risk of buying them unseen and untried. Great sunglases. THese are gradient sunglass rather than polorized. They still have wonderful clarity and your eyes relax the minuet you put hem on. I think the gradient feature is the best though as driving in and out of shadows and sun is so much easier without you even noticing it. They are comfortable, but they are not made for rough use - at least not this particulare modle. My true aviator ones were stronger (at least lookg and feeling). Now, as to price. The ones that acutally shipped to me came from Optitech with 5% off coupon, and free shipping. So I went to their site out of curiosity. Free shipping isn't a big deal as they do it for everything. And 5% is nothing, but the glasses were almost $25.00 cheaper. Amazon is good, but sometimes they don't find the best deal. Oh well, live and learn. Hope Optitech is still selling them for less when you buy a pair.

Great sunglasses, use it for driving around the country and it is great when facing sunset.

Troppo scuri in galleria e con nuvolosità, in tal modo distraggono dalla guida nel toglierli e reindossarli. Bisognerebbe indirizzare meglio il cliente sulla scelta dei filtri.

I love these sunglasses. This is actually my third pair, only because I lost my first two pairs. But the fact that I keep ordering these shows you how much I love them. The world looks beautiful through them, they are solid and well made, and you look like a boss wearing them. Unfortunately Canadian Border Services slapped a $59 CAD duty on them, even though I ordered them over Amazon.ca. So if you are ordering these from Canada, keep that in mind. Otherwise, worth every cent.

Verres polarisés et photochromique (teinte qui varie en fonction de la lumière) très grand confort de vision. Les photos ne le montre pas, mais les verres sont larges et hauts, un peu moins que les lunettes aviateur des années 80.... (tailles 6cm x 3cm chaque verre), mais du coup elle protège très bien les yeux. Yes they are expensive, but try them only once and Serengeti will be your brand of choice. The lense quality is amazing ! This is my second pair. Why my second pair? Well, the first pair simply walked away. My fault for setting them down, bad idea for these glasses !
