The sculpt, whether you think it is lovely or terrible, is excellent, with many super impressive details and large areas for freehanding, should you wish to use some. In game, the Hyperion is impressive, with what amounts to a death star mounted above its head. I cannot say enough good things about the sculpt or the rules. Hyperion is awesome.It is disappointing, then, that the casting is so terrible. A problem that has shown its ugly face on every hyperion I see is that the two halves of the torso do not line up. At all. You will have to do some filling and sculpting and fixing with green stuff, and if you are not used to that, this is a HUGE letdown. It took me nearly four hours to get all the gaps and bubbles filled in top a satisfying degree.Maybe one day Privateer Press will get their casting down, but as it stands, they are sadly WAY behind GW in quality.Long story short, be prepared for a long, annoying process of fixing casting errors before you can even think about putting him together, much less painting this beast.
