Also this kit includes all the parts needed to connect to a water heater, which would be useless for connecting to a pool.For pools you need a large collector area so to use this type of setup you would have to put up a large array of these panels. Can I pump the water into the panel and drain back to the tank?** A: Hello,In general it is possible to do what you are thinking about, however this kit would include many parts you don't need for this project, because it is designed to connect to a standard water heater. There is one very important issue with doing this which is that the water in the panels cannot be allowed to freeze so you would have to use a two stage system with antifreeze circulating through the panel and a heat exchanger. Basically it is a lot cheaper and simpler to just keep the water agitated so that it cannot freeze.
