High Quality
I have used this brand many times to make honey mead at the house. It is a very high quality product. I will continue to buy this brand every time from now on. 4 different batches of mead and not a problem yet. Plus countless times making wine. I don't drink but it's a great way to make some side money with very little effort.

Great yeast
Mangrove Jacks yeast is probably the best yeast I've ever used. The fermentation process is strong and fairly quick. My mead tastes fantastic and came out stronger than I expected at 20% abv. The quantity included for the price is a plus as well. Will 100% purchase again in the future.

A strong drink for strong men.
Great for Jersey Lightning apple jack. Let it run right out flat in a warm place (this will taste horrible at first), then set the barrel outside on a cold day and use a sieve to pull off the slush as it forms on top. Reduce the volume by half, let it set a while, and you've just made the whiskey that made my grandpa a legend.

It has a low temp tolerance
Only wants to ferment between 69 and 72 deg liquid temp. Not bad just harder in warmer climates to dry the mead out

Great product
This year's gave me the ability to make a lactic acid highly concentrated alcohol mixture so I'd be good for making any alcohol or any anything at all that you would like meads or anything that you require a strong high point alcohol or like I used it to ferment milk to make lab lactic acid

First attempt at making mead. 1.5Kg honey in a 5L carboy. Despite the fact that it still hasn't cooled down fully ( still around 34C ) the brew is already bubbling away nicely. I left the recommended 1" airspace between the liquid & the bung - in fact, it was closed to 1.5" - but I have a feeling I should have left more, as the foam's already filled that space ! Low-foam it isn't ( but then, it doesn't claim to be ) Edited to add : One day on, the fermentation temperature is now down to around 25C. The previously mentioned foaming has now died down & the fermentation is continuing nicely. The real proof will be when it's ready to drink, but that's a god few months away. Edited again on 09-10-2017 to add : Fermentation has died down to the occasional bubble every few minutes, so I decided to check the Specific Gravity. The SG is down around 1.015 ( so there should still be some fermentation to go before it reaches the usual finishing SG of around 1.0 ) which equates to around 11% ABV I'll give it another week or so before rechecking the SG, then I may try adding some more honey or brewing sugar to see if I can kick-start the fermentation and get the SG any lower.

Great easy to use yeast which seems very hardy. The first time I used it I pitched mine first and used this to make a sweet cherry mead which reached ABV of about 16% and is the best tasting I have made.Currently have another batch of straight mead brewing using the same stuff
