I prefer the flip style cases over book style cases.This case is very light and minimalist and is great for using around the house but for reasons stated below not great as a protective travel case. The pleather is pleasant to the touch.One star off for the weak magnet that barely holds the cover in place. If you hold the Paperwhite upside down, the weight of the cover alone makes it detach. I can't imagine it staying on during a fall.Another star off for the shiny logo on the front. I would have much preferred a simple debossed logo. Making it shiny makes it look cheap.In conclusion it's an inexpensive case so I can't complain too much and I think will work fine for my intended purpose of keeping it by my nightstand.That said, I would be willing to pay a bit more for stronger magnets and slightly more upscale logo.

This case is really good looking, comes at a great price, and does just what it says it will. Easy to put Kindle in and take out, but holds it firmly. I'd have liked one more (slightly flatter) viewing angle but not enough to seek another case. The green is a lovely dusty moss green, if you're considering a color. The texture is like the buckram once used on the cover of books.

The biggest upside to this is it's price. The down side is it makes the Paperwhite a little more bulky than I expected. And I wanted it to be able to stand on a table while I read it. But, if you barely touch it, it will flop down. The indention's which hold it up just aren't deep enough, or tacky enough to keep it in place.The Good:1. Fit's in well and stays inside the holder.2. Looks pretty good.3. It does turn on and off when opening and closing.4. It's relatively cheap.5. It offers ability to prop open*6. The Black color is actually a lighter than it looks. At first I thought it was gray. It looks good actually and was less $.The Bad:1. It's a little thicker than I expected.2. This is the big disappointment, that you can't operate or touch or bump it at all or it will flop down, when propped.

This case is nice I like the blue color and how it looks what I don’t like is the stand. The two places to have it stand basically having standing straight up. I don’t know about anyone else but I don’t read like that. I read at an angle. So this is my only complaint and why I’ll be looking for something with a stand that has a better reading angle

This is a good solid case for a 10G Kindle. I was used to the folio format rather than the flip but I've gotten used to it after a few weeks of reading.I've accidentally tested the case a few times by letting my Kindle fall to both a wood and tile floor in two separate occasions. The Kindle had no damage. In use, the case doesn't interfere with any functions such as charging, it does auto shut the reader off as expected as well.I suppose I'd prefer slightly deep detents when the case is used as a stand but so far I've not experienced any practical need for such deeper detents.So in sum, a nice looking well-made case that operates as expected while providing good protection.

I recently upgraded my older Paperwhite to the new 2018 version. Of course the cases for the old one won’t fit the new so I needed to order a case along with it.For the 4+ years I’ve had the old Paperwhite I had a case that would let the reader sit vertically on its own. This is very important to me. I have a bad case of RA and have to sit in my recliner most of the day. I can’t hold the unit in my hand - so I need a case that hold it upright and sits in my lap.This new case works perfectly for me. At the time I ordered the new Paperwhite there were only 2 cases like this available. Both had good reviews - the few there were since these cases were new to the market. The one I chose was said to be thinner - the other being a little thicker and being padded.This one works great! The magnet to turn the Paperwhite off and in with the cover closing works perfectly. Very happy with my purchase.

The concept of "multiple" angles is a bit off--There are exactly TWO slots for adjusting stand function and neither of them puts the Kindle at optimal angle for comfortable reading. Also, the edges, although they are finished off neatly, begin to feel sharp after holding it to read for a while. For the record, I have arthritis in both hands, which makes them more sensitive to discomfort and this product may be perfect for someone with "healthy hands".

I have purchased this case for the specific purpose of using it as a stand to read my kindle wile it rests on the table surface. it adds some bulk to it while holding the kindle in hand, but it solves one overlooked issue with a kindle itself. The sleep/wake button on kindle is located on the bottom of the reader, so if you hold the kindle in right hand, I used to accidentally press on it with pinky finger when swiping the screen with a thumb to flip a page. Now the flop folded backwards prevents it from doing that.As far as stand functionality, I would highly recommend the changes listed below because in a standing position it is very unstable and has a tendency to slide when trying to highlight or swiping the screen when flipping pages.Add a piece of friction material to the bottom of the caseChange the material on the inside. The material used right now is slippery and doesn't allow the kindle to stay in place.

Very good design for reading with Kindle. Would appreciate if future model can enforce the folding area, the material started to rip after 2 months usage. I duct tape it hopefully it won’t continue to rip.

I do like the looks of the product, the colour and texture is really nice. I bought it for the ability to prop up my kindle and it does work but you do have to be careful as it tends to slip and fall if you move or jostle it. I carry my kindle with me to and from work, because of the design the cover tends to slip out of place and the kindle will sometimes wake up when this happens; causing a drain on the battery.

Bought the purple version along with the new Kindle Paperwhite. It's a good looking case and is easy to hold. While I do not have much experience with tablet type cases I do with smart phone cases of similar styles and this easily compares to some of the nicer ones I have had.

I bought the orange one. I wasn't expecting the quality to be as good as it is. The automatic on/off works... well automatically. The cover has a nice texture, a beautiful metal accent (where the brand label is) and has real stitching.Unlike one of the comments, I found both standing positions to work fine for me.For the price, I couldn't be happier.

The fabric has a nice feel, and it adds only the bulk that is necessary.I especially like the stand feature, as it's my preferred way to read a kindle in most cases. Works perfectly in this respect.

Love this case. Bought a second one in a different colour. Love the colors green and orange. Just perfect. I'm using my Kindle almost every day and the cover is still in good shape.

Love it. The qualty is excellent, however the ridging for standing the kindle could be better. The lower angle does not hold as well as the first. I would still recommend! I’ve just ordered a kindle for my husband and another one of these cases to go with it.

I love the sleep/wake mode! It been great, very durable and sleek looking. The reason I gave it 4 stars is only because I would be absolutely in love if it could pivot as well as stand. But that’s my preference.

When you are lying down reading this really helps, especially on your back. Placing it on a hard surface like a firm pillow or an ipad really helps.

It's ok. The material isn't fabric. Looks a bit tacky and cheap in person. Fits well, though. And the stand works well.

Happy with my purchase. Tons of room. Easy reading. Battery life is long.
