Meets my needs
I had to too some grading in my back yard and thought this would help me to accomplish the task. I ended up using a string and bubble level, to accomplish the same goal. I still need to learn how to best apply for future use. It is a little challenge to use in sunlight, have to make sure that the beamer is facing away from the sun, otherwise you can't see the red beam on the receiving end. It is fairly priced and I think will meet my future need.

Defective with power problem / Repacement powers up; but only works with specific Bosch Laser Levels
Bosch LR1 came brand new in a sealed factory box. LR1 would not power up with included 9V battery. Verified polarity and tried several times more. Tried a brand new 9V battery, worked first power on attempt. Then while changing speaker from mute, LR1 suddenly quit. Would not power back on. Removed 9V battery and re-inserted it. LR1 would still not power on. After some messing, found if I pushed inward at battery door hinge point, LR1 would power on. But upon releasing pressure at hinge, LR1 would power off.Replacement powered up and worked. However, LR-1 will not work with Bosch Rotary Laser level I have, even though Rotary Laser Level is put in Receiver Mode (Green LED Lit). Bosch confirmed LR-1 will not work with Bosch Rotary Laser Level I have. Requires different Laser Receiver model. Why Bosch makes Laser Receivers that only work with specific Rotary Laser Levels is simply wrong.Regret buying Bosch.Going to try a replacement LR1, because this kind of problem is unlike normal Bosch quality.
