I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the tools in this kit. After looking at a number of watch repair kits, reading reviews and doing some research, I decided that I didn’t want to purchase the cheapest watch repair kit, as I knew the quality would be sub par. There were only a handful of reviews on this kit, so i pretty much just decided to take a chance and make a $40 investment. Most of the tools either meet or exceed my expectations. I’m not an expert on watch repair, however; I think this kit contains most everything that a novice needs to perform most any task on a watch. One minor complaint is that the elastic straps holding each item in place are really tight making it difficult to remove the tools. This is not a deal breaker for me, as with some wiggling and pulling I’ve been able to get everything out of the case. I find the small screwdrivers and other small items such as tweezers, spring bar tool, etc. to be sturdy and not prone to breaking easily. Bottom line: For a novice watch enthusiast, I recommend this kit. Can’t think of much else one would need.

The kit arrived as advertised and undamaged. Very limited and very small print for directions. Better than nothing but not much. The various items in the kit look and feel somewhat "cheap". However they all seem to be working OK. Not sure I'd buy again. Would probably look around a lot more. All in all it works.

I recently noticed a couple of my less-worn watches had dead batteries, and I wanted to finally get round to removing a surplus link on my day-to-day watch, but without wanting to pay someone else for the services I decided to invest in something to start taking on these projects myself. Looking at similar (cheaper) products I noticed that a lot of bad reviews talked of the quality of some of the tools, so I spent a little more on this product. 2 battery changes and 1 link removal later I can definitely say that the tools don't show signs of fatigue or undue wear and tear. One thing I'd say is get ready to spend some time on Youtube. There are no instructions and it's not immediately obvious what some of the tools in there are for. But having spent an afternoon learning the in's and out's with the help of the internet I'm confident that this kit will continue to assist me with minor watch maintenance for many years to come, without paying someone else to do work that is ultimately quite trivial.

I liked the options that come with the kit. But the screw drivers are not precision tips. If you look close you can see one tip was missing on one. The one that is sharp is what you need. It is a Bergeon screwdriver. If your serious about watchmaking then invest in the right stuff. Cheap stuff will nickel/dime you broke.

Not only does this watchmaker tool box offer excellent quality and service, you can save money rather than buying new batteries or watch bands from some expensive jeweler. Takes a little while to learn which tool does what - but the supplier will quickly send a video upon request - which helps for normal problems. Living and cruising on a boat makes it hard for me to find a local jeweler. Now I can do most common repairs myself - in between feeding my cat. :-) While at it I also urge you buy a boat and seek Travel and Adventure - which in turn makes you wiser...….

I decided that I didn't want to pay $25 to replace batteries in my watches, so I bought this kit. I could replace every battery in my collection, so I figure I'm about a $100 ahead of having someone else do the job. Admittedly, I'm pretty good with tools, so that's a factor.

The needle point drivers are quite fragile so ensure that correct use. Resistive force during use will result in breakage of the tool. Love the spare parts for watches included with the kit.

I ordered this for the purpose of performing small maintenance on my watches. And it’s awesome. Has almost everything I need. For the price it’s a steal. Just wish they provided a tool for opening fossil backs. Used the pliers though and worked. Came quickly and in perfect condition.
