140 Amp Portable Compact Inverter IGBT Welder

Liked price, but wary about quality. My wariness was unfounded, well built unit presented in a compact carrying case.Used it today to repair my driveway gate, easy to use and worked well. Only needed sub 100A so can't comment ongreater amperages just yet. I'm very happy with it.

As a person who welds for a living, I really like this welder, I had some cast iron railings to repair which is notoriously difficult to weld, I had lovely smooth weld beads, and good penetration I was sceptical for the price, but my other inverter welder which cost nearly £1000,isnt as stable as this one. I love the lightweight and the current display is pretty accurate. Long term I hope it lasts as its now my go to welder.

Purchased this welder and initial impressions were very good - well packaged, everything apart from rods and gloves in the box to get you welding. However, less than 1 small pack of rods later and the welder gave a loud bang and tripped the circuit breaker. As it was less than 6 months old I contacted the seller who was difficult to deal with - they asked for a video showing the machine and after multiple attempts to upload a video (as you cannot easily add links or videos to the Amazon messaging system) the seller refused to honour my rights as they said using a 13A-16A adapter had "caused the welder to run hot" and that was why it had failed and refused to entertain any claim. Anyone with basic high school phyiscs understanding can see this is nonsense - a welder that requires a 230v 16A supply cannot "run hot" on a 230v 13A supply! Per rod, this is the most expensive welder on Amazon just now, and the seller support - well, it is non-existent. Save your money, pay twice as much for something better built from a seller that has an interest in doing more than shifting boxes. Be cheaper in the long run. Don't be misled by others leaving positive reports, I would also have left positive reports before the failure as it did run small rods (2.5 6013) OK. Opened it up later on to confirm electronics component failure inside, welder looked immaculately clean inside and out apart from the damaged component.

Excellent price... Bought this to weld a bracket to my camper van seat... Is cheaper than hiring a welder from HSS or to pay someone to do it...

This a brilliant welder, plenty of power. It's very light, and easy to use.my last welder was ten times heaver, the inver welder is far better.

Arrived and looked great plugged in and the machine went bang and smoked check fuse which had blown stripped casing to find the live joint on the board was in contact with the earth eyelet (dead short). I contacted Parker’s who told me because I had used a 13 amp fly lead this is why it had failed ( utter rubbish) as a qualified electrician I re routed the earth cable and replaced the cover and fuse the machine now works. I contacted Parker’s with my concern and reiterated that I wasn’t looking for a replacement or refund but to point out the dangerous issue in manufacture to be fobbed off numerous times about the fly lead. Great looking machine potentially dangerous !!! Will report to trading standards!!!
