ORACAL12" x 10 Ft Roll of Glossy 651 Black Permanent Adhesive-Backed Vinyl for Craft Cutters, Punches and Vinyl Sign Cutter

I had been looking for a glossy version of vinyl for a different look than the matte vinyl I usually used. I found the glossy version of this product, got very excited over the price and the high reviews, and quickly ordered. I use the vinyl to apply to glass, metal, plastics and just about to anything that has a smooth surface. I use a Silhouette cutting machine to cut the vinyl and apply using transfer paper. The glossy vinyl is gorgeous! The difference between matte and glossy is the adhesive on the glossy vinyl is solvent-based and meant to be permanent. Using glossy vinyl indoors is risky because the adhesive may pull the paint off the wall when trying to remove the vinyl. The adhesive on the matte vinyl is water-based and meant to be temporary or removable at some point. This makes the matte vinyl ideal for indoor wall decals. On smooth indoor walls, the matte vinyl will stick until you simply peel it off.PROS: Great For Personalizing Hard, Smooth Surfaces, Cut With Any Vinyl Cutter, Glossy, Easy to applyI did not observe any flaws. They all are perfect. You can cut what ever you want. Stick them on a piece of painted wood, then paint over the top of the wood with the vinyl and when the pain drys, slowly peel the vinyl off and you have a nice little craft wood with what ever you cut out of the vinyl. I will purchase this vinyl again.

So far seems great for its purpose. I personally prefer my vinyl to be a little less glossy but this was bought for a project for someone else and they are pleased, so I am too. It is nice to have a large roll for such a great price when you need a bigger size than the 12x18 seemingly standard cut you can get singles in. Even making a 12x24 cut it was easy to work with. I still have plenty left for other uses when someone else likes a glossy finish.Edit: the first sticker I made has now been in place for about three months on a trailer exposed to the elements, and the vinyl has held up wonderfully. No peeling or fading at all, still looks like it was just applied. It is easy to work with. it cuts like a dream and weeds nicely. If I ever run out I will definitely be ordering this vinyl again!

Never have a problem with this brand, very easy to use. Good quality and I'm really trust my works to the brand. If you don't try oracal it's time to use it, I'm sure when you use it you going to love it.

This is good vinyl. I used it to make custom tumblers for my dad's 50th birthday party.I deducted one star because I noticed is that it is harder for my cricut to cut this vinyl than the white. It seems to be firmer or maybe thicker than the white Oracal 651. I wasted about 1 foot of vinyl from pieces that didn't cut well and came up while peeling the negative off. At just under $1/ft, this can become costly very quickly. I will definitely do double passes when cutting this vinyl in the future.The quality of the vinyl is excellent though. The letters still look great! Even after using my nails to see if they would peel off, they are sticking on like champs.I'm not sure where other reviewers are getting their vinyl, but mine came wrapped in plastic rather than with just a sticker, and it's definitely 10 feet. I've used about 5 of the feet and still have a decent amount. I bought mine from Vinyl x Sticker.

As suggested by another buyer I chose to buy from VinylXStickerLLC in hopes that it would be the full 10ft and not have a sticker issue. So thankful I did. I have received my full 12"x10ft roll. There was no sticker on the vinyl. The vinyl was inside a bag( as pictured in my photos) the sicker was on the bag. I also included photos to show that this was in fact oracal651 and not some knock off brand.I haven't had a chance to use it but I sure it will cut just fine. I actually used it to wrap portions of a bike frame for some color contrast. It worked great, it seems durable and it's bubble-free. I only gave it 4 stars for 'Easy to use' because it's my first experience and there's a learning curve. I think with practice it will be very easy and consistent.

Ordered two rolls for a project. The first roll was flawless. Thick vinyl, weeded and peeled so easy. Second roll was thin, and stuck to itself horribly. When comparing the backs one is much darker print than the other. Disappointed as it’s causing me a lot of problems trying to get this project done on time
