Durable camera in a small size
This is my second Vantrue camera. I purchased one three years ago, and it's still working fine. And after falling off the window mountil several times, the vedios are still clear as ever. Bought the second one for my wife. Spend a little extra money and buy a mirror mount, instead of using that rubber window mount that comes inside the box. The rubber mount falls off due to extreme heat when temperatures hit 90 degrees.

Really good quality dash camera
I've had this dash camera for about six weeks now, and it works perfectly. Excellent video and audio quality. Really easy to use. The rear view mirror mount was a little tricky to install because there's not a lot of room around my mirror stalk, and it just took a bit of patience to get the wing nuts tightened. But that said, the mount works quite well. Really pleased with this camera.

Camera false off sometimes
Fastened just fine to mirror shaft & camera mounts up well but after bumps, the camera comes swinging off the slide-on mount for it. Camera mount doesn’t has a tighten down apparatus for the camera to stay on it’s mount. Tried facing the camera down so it would bouncy forward instead of backwards but view wasn’t so good. Just know to press the camera back into proper place every once & a while and all will be well. I am happy with it but am startled when the camera just falls off & swings just under the mirror. Easy enough to slide it back onto it little holder unless it after dark- black plastic. It is low maintenance but worth the money since I didn’t want the suction cup one.

Does what it is supposed to
Workable replacement for the suction cup mount. I used this with my N1 Pro dashcam. One drawback was the lack of a mini USB port on the mount, as there is on the suction cup mount.I bought a micro to mini USB adapter (about 50 cents on Ebay), and used the converted cable to plug directly into the camera (instead of into the mount). The new installation is much more solid, is legal in MN (one of the few states that outlaw suction cup windshield mounts), and the connection is just as reliable as the old one.

ITS JUST OK
This mount does the job; but not that well. First, you should probably have at least 2" to 3" of shaft on your rearview mirror if you expect to use this. I tried, but could not make it work with my 2019 RAM 1500. This mount does work with my 2018 Chevy Malibu though. The mount is made of plastic, but it is still pretty sturdy nonetheless. The reason that I say it doesn't do the job well is because of the adapters that plug into the camera. The Vantrue suction cup mount and the Vantrue stick on mount have adapters that slide and lock into the camera; those work well. This mount has adapters that slide into the camera; but they don't lock. I have already knocked the camera off the mount a couple times because it just slides on and off. I have been pretty impressed with the quality of Vantrue products until I bought this. While it does serve its intended purpose; it is just too easy to knock the camera off the mount. I think Vantrue needs to go back to the drawing board on this and manufacture camera adapters that lock the camera in more securely. I will probably wind up modifying this somehow to make the camera a little more secure; but I shouldn't have to. I like how it mounts and positions my Vantrue T2, but I hate that the adapter just doesn't snap into the camera securely.

Works well
I originally had my camera attached to the windshield however, I quickly realized that this is not a good, long-term solution. Installing was a bit tricky but making sure you have a mirror stalk of at least two inches makes it easier even though the statistics say at least 1/2". That's only because the clamp portion is that wide. Anything shorter than two inches will take longer to install due to the cramped quarters. Having said that, after it's installed, it's secure and provides enough clearance below the mirror for the camera. Adjustments are easy as well.

Flimsy and camera falls off.
The camera mount, although cheap, isn't worth its price. The mount seems to continuously need to be tightened, as the whole assembly is plastic and flexible. What is worse, however, is the Vantrue camera I have continuously falls off the mount because it is just a flat, smooth, slide-on "bracket" which does not secure the camera at all. I have it fall off of the mount all the time while driving, or sometimes just arriving back at the car. I've tried all setups and different angles that I can think of, but none solve the issue. It's simply not a good design, or this particular one has a manufacturing error. So if you have a camera for accident/vandalism footage (I imagine this is one of the primary uses) - this mount will more than likely let you down as if you have an impact of the slightest, the camera will just fall off and will become useless.

Works as advertised
This mount was paired with the Vantrue Model T1 dash cam in a new Honda CR-V. While the mount gives great freedom to point the cam wherever you want, and it's easy to install, it lacks stability. After reviewing the instructions to verify correct installation and making numerous adjustments to the mount in an attempt to improve stability, the videos are simply unwatchable due to constant shaking. The roads where I live are in good shape and my SUV rides pretty good. It's just the nature of the design of the mount. I switched to the windshield mount that comes with the dash cam and all is well. Unless you have an extremely smooth riding vehicle and the roads where you live are flat as glass, I cannot recommend this product. It's a great idea, but it isn't going to work for everyone.
