At the end of the first film, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), with the help of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne). But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings. In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Jude Law and Johnny Depp make this far improved for adults i think, to watch. Im not crazy into Harry Potter, as it came out when i was already an adult. So my view, is different to hardened fans i know. First film was harder to get into, although my daughter did enjoy the fantastic beasts. Feels more of an actual film, with a plot than the first. Shame that Depp's personal hell with divorce, kind of put people against the film, without giving it a chance really. Was a very good film and me, my mates and daughter have watched this one several times. The first fantastic beasts we watched once, was ok, but didnt rewatch. My daughter is Harry Potter mad, but preferred this one to. As did my crazy into Harry Potter, younger, best mate and her tolerent partner, also preferred this one.

This was such a joy to watch
Newt is a shy, fish out of water character with very specialized skills, which didn't prepare him for the real world. Looking forward to watching the final film in this trilogy.

Excellent film, very rapid delivery
Not having watched this series, with two unwrapped films on the shelf, ordered the last one, and it arrived very promptly. highly recommended

Fantastic movie love it

Johnny Depp stars a the title villain in this magical adventure. The rest of the cast are unknowns. Sadly they are not appealing enough to the camera for most adult audiences to engage them warmly. This may sound uncharitable on my part. But Hollywood has spoiled us with the star system and mundane looking people do not hold us the way that Tom Cruse or Robert Redford would. Heroic fantasy demands eye candy on all fronts. I did not count off a star for this perceived short coming because our hapless hero is an under dog. So in one way his looks reinforce that aspect of his character. Even so, the story is original and impossible and everything a good fantasy should be. And the effects are spectacular in every way. So role with it. It is fun.

No where on this page does it disclose that it is an INTERNATIONAL purchase. Its gonna come from the UK. You can't play it in America. Pages really should tell us this. Luckily it came with a return sticker. I will be getting a refund.
