Real Deal!
Well well well!I was very concerned whether to buy this filter or not. As there are many P series filters available out there and all of them are way too costly, this one leave many question marks being just 50US$ filter (cheaper compared to 100 US$ + amount of filter by other brands) if it is good or not, if it has any color cast or not, is it worth it, etc etc.And so I took the risk and ordered it. It comes with a protective case, which is good as the glass is very delicate and can be easily broken. Infect I order the 150mm ICE ND as well with this order and that one came in 3 pieces - BROKEN as it doesn't have any solid case to store. Luckily I got new replacement by Amazon.Time to test the glass. I placed it in my Cokin P series Holder, it fits well in it without any troubles and good grip.Attached is a test shot and I must say that there is no (or close to zero) color cast and no (or close to zero) drop in IQ. OMG, that's awesome!Go for it! its worth every penny and a real competitor of all costly ND filters out there! I haven't tried any other filters from big brands, but I really don't even feel like trying them. This explains everything :)

You get what you pay.
For a $40 filter it’s got its pros and cons.Take a read..Pros:1. Glass filter. Longevity and durability.2. Price point. Pretty much the cheapest filter in glass.3. Definitely a “10” in ND10.Cons:1. Housing is hard plastic, and fitting is NOT snug. It’s bound to chip on the edges. Mine arrived with some chipping. Gotta pay attention when putting it away.2. Not a ND. It definitely has color casting. Look at the attached photos with RGB histogram. I took a soft white lamp picture in aperture mode, single point AE at f1.8.Is it functional?Absolutely. Is it a high quality product?Obviously not. Will it help you get the job done? With a little bit of extra post processing. Will it help you practice?Oh yeah totally...

It's more like 9-9-1/3 stops and not 10
It's more like 9-9-1/3 stops and not 10. I measure it by taking a dome in incident light reading of a constant light source using a Sekonic L-758DR and got an exposure of 1/250 with an EV 13 without the filter and 250 with an EV 3.8 with the filter placed over the dome.Meter is laying flat on a table and the fixed light source is about 12-18" directly above. I've used the same approach to measure the filter factors for my Cokin 2x (P152) and 4x (P154) ND and circular polarizing (P164) filters and the readings match the expected values of 1, 2 and 2 stop @ max polarization, respectively. Will I return it for being of by 2/3 stop? No, since it's much much less expensive than the other 10 stop options and I can either add the 2x ND to the stack or compensate the time exposure.

the size!
The filter is very good and does good job, no discoloration very good quality except, it is for a Cokin P filter holder but it will not fit my P filter holder. My filter holder is a cheaper brand so that is probably why. I had to grind down one edge of the glass filter, did not damage the filter doing this and it works fine not. I do highly recommend this filter

Thank God no Color cast....
I've had the chance to use this twice since I purchased it and yes it appears to have no color cast. Beaware though this is a "P" filter you need a "Z" filter to keep from having vignetting at lower than 20mm on Full frame cameras.. but I can get past that.. Just the fact that there is no Color cast makes this a great purchase vs other brands...I was asked to post an imageThis shot has very little post processing. (Sharpness only) then converted from RAW format to 72 DPI JPG. The scene was high contrast. Normally I wouldn't shoot with this filter in these conditions unless I was trying to create some type of long exposure special effects..

Good for the $
Great Product for the Price with minimal distortion of the image or color. The main draw back is that the dimentions do NOT quite fit the Cokin P System and the risk of damage is higher. Further, the glass appears to be mirrored, and unless pressed nearly against your lens, the only image returned will be a lens reflection. Meta, but not that landscape i was shooting.

No color cast, cheaper than the branded ones. ...
No color cast, cheaper than the branded ones. 4 star because the case where this was stored is just plain hard plastic, with no cushion inside. So in case your courier is not careful and managed to drop this, I'm betting that this will shatter while inside its own case.Double checked and it is indeed a 10-stop ND filter.

Poor Quality
I don't know if it's low quality glass or I got a bum filter. I have tried a few different lenses. No matter what, the lens face is reflected off the filter and back to the image every time. Complete waste of money.

Very nice glass
Good quality glass, comes in a hard plastic case with a small lens wipe. Fits my Cokin P-series holder perfectly. Just what I needed for my long exposures.
