Great fun
I am new to the RC world. This was my first. I've flown about 1 hour total now (thats 10 or so battery charges). Here are my comments;Buy the blade guard, 5 extra batteries and some extra propellers immediately. Even with the blade guard I've lost 1 completely and broke 2. I've managed to crack my blade guard in two places, and have glued it for now.I put a 16 gb micro sd card in it, and took some videos, I ended up with about 17 minutes of usable video after cutting the time it was not actually in flight. The problem here is this: You have to turn the unit on, turn the transmitter on, then push the record button on the x4, make sure the light is red. It is now recording to internal memory. When you bring it back, first thing go hit the record button again to commit it to the sd card, or its lost. Crash hard, its lost, battery dies? video lost. I missed a couple potentially cool videos because the wind caught the quad and I had to do some pretty crazy flying to get it DOWN. The result was a hard enough crash that the x4 turned off. Picture is decent.Now... before you fly, go look on youtube, and do the calibrate your controller. I didn't understand this, and woah, what a difference. I calibrated the controller and slightly turned down the sensitivity and much easier to fly. I've managed to land it in my hand about 4 times now.It is fairly durable in my opinion, I've bounced it off objects in the house, smacked it off some play ground equipment and a few tree branches. Just be ready to cut the power as the little blades will chop of grass and leaves and spin it into the motor QUICK.Overall I'm having a blast, I am very glad I got the extra batteries and blade guard as someone else mentioned. I might also suggest either another charger or a dual charger. As each battery charges for about half an hour, and lasts about 5-6 minutes (with video and blade guard on). DO NOT OVER CHARGE the battery, set a timer or such and keep an eye on them. This thing is tiny, it is smaller than a small xbox controller. I flew it today in light wind, it was controllable unless I got to high, then it was hard to keep it from being blown off course.Mine does seam to have about 100 M range as I have yet to loose signal. The camera is indeed 2 MP. I was not expecting amazing video, and thus far it is adequate for this price range.Enjoy!

Probably the most fun in the air you can currently have at this price.
I've owned the mini copters and the next size up. The mini's were fun, but loose to control. The big one was fun, but more control issues and it broke quickly. The Hubsan X4 is incredible. It took me about 24 hours to really get how to fly it. I have a standard non-video version coming tomorrow because it's just that fun to fly.Video quality is OK. You can't move the camera, and you are subject to all of the shakes. It will shake quite a bit when dropping altitude. I've already lost it twice. Once I took it out way too far beyond my sight. It's so small that you can't really tell which way is forward and which way is reverse when it's really high up. It kept drifting away and I became disoriented. That's about the most difficult thing, since it's so symmetrical, you can easily crash it if you turn the way it's facing. However, I have crashed it once at high altitude and it's pretty good at floating back down to Earth without flipping over. I've crashed it minor/major about 15 times, and I'm still using the original blades that were on when I bought it.I didn't use the guard. But I'm also pretty good at flying it already. I was able to fly it from a room downstairs, up a stairwell, and land it right on a desk upstairs after 72 hours of using it.It's inspired me to save up for a Phantom - DJIBattery life is good. I would love to have about 2-3 more batteries and chargers. I still haven't ordered them yet, I'm OK with waiting between charges, I usually spend that time downloading the videos it took, etc.I have yet to try expert mode.Crashed it? It won't respond to the controller? Best solution I've had is to just shut them both off and turn them back on. It seemed to always reconnect just fine.

Great drone for anyone who wants to learn on a fast little quad
The media could not be loaded. I own this camera model, and the non camera model as well. The non camera model is a bit more agile and quick due to the lower weight. The camera quality is decent (in well lit settings).Don't bother getting the SD camera version. When you see the quality , you will not use it again.Battery time is about 6-8 minutes, a little less when recording. It can handle very light wind if you are comfortable controlling it.Buy extra batteries, and a crash pack. You will loose propellors outside, trust me.The x4 h107 and x4 h107c (camera) are my choice for quick small quadrocopters. Good to learn on if you want to go fast.If you want something easier to control, check out the SYMA X-11 same size and batteries (flies a couple minutes longer)The gyroscope helps keep it more stable (at the cost of being a bit slower) but it can not fly in any wind, its too light.UPDATE: the x4 camera model can handle winds up to to about 12 mph with a little struggle. The syma can only handle up to about 7mph winds.Uploaded a video review and footage of flight.I posted pictures of the quad and the remote with a penny for size comparisonI also attached a screen cap from the x4 HD.Flight video up.

Superb little UAV
Superb little drone. Excellent camera for it's size. It is the first small UAV i have ever owned that contains a camera. Found i can easily get the maximum distance that they advertise for the transmitter and then some. I haven't had it fly off on me yet but that might just be luck.

Great! Sounds like a swarm of buzzing hornets!
Great stable little flyer! Flew perfect first time. Any of the reviews that say it's not good and difficult to control are probably from inexperienced/first timers. If you give full throttle straight away it can easily get away from you.

Amazing Quadcopter! The best in class.
This is an amazing little quadcopter - well, it was until I lost it!Utterly stable and fantastic to fly, I purchased the 2mp camera version and the images it produced exceeded my expectations. Easier to fly than the Hubsan Q4 nano quadcopter I had before (due to the larger controller), I would recommend this to all.It has 2 controller mode options for the throttle (mode 1 is right hand throttle, mode 2 is left hand throttle). It also has an expert mode which opens up the full potential of the X4 allowing flips to be performed. In the box you get the X4, controller, single 300mah battery, 2 sets of blades with blade removal tool and underneath the plastic moulded packaging should be the crash guard. It has an incredible range considering it's size, but I would advise having a spotter if flying outdoors as it can quickly get very high and very far away (as I found to my cost). It is also surprisingly tough (having survived a few heavy crashes). There are plenty of spares available and upgraded motors and batteries along with the mandatory crash guard (for learning).Charging time is approx: 40-45 and flying time is about 6-7mins (will be slightly less with the crash guard fitted). This isn't too much of a problem as the standard 380mah battery is removable and you can purchase a multi pack of batteries and multi-battery charger to increase your flying time.I will definitely be purchasing another, but this time I will be more careful with regards to taking it too high.In summary - agile, fast, responsive quad with a good quality camera. It's a no-brainer to buy one of these.

Fantastic fun! It was a Christmas pressie for my son. He soon was chopping up Mum's dried flower arrangements and trimming the lamp shades! Outside, it is brilliant when you have the camera recording. Do be aware this is a lightweight model, and it will rapidly fly away on the wind and will only come back very slowly! Buy a couple of spare guard rings--- you should find one on the bottom of the packaging. Get the 5 batteries and a USB charger for them, go out with 4 batteries and have hours of fun! If you've played any games using joysticks, you'll learn to fly this in minutes.

... this is my first drone but it is so easy to fly and is great fun
To be honest this is my first drone but it is so easy to fly and is great fun. Battery supplied is ok but you can buy a 4 pack for 10quid so you have plenty spares as it only lasts about 10minutes constant use. I thought i would buy this to get used to flying it then upgrade to something better but this is so much fun im keeping it. Buy yourself the spares pack which comes with a blade protector and spare blades which are so simple to change over.
