Does it pass through the power or supply it...can you use the Samsung power supply to charge the Tab s 8.4?

It was supposed to pass through the power. However, I tried it on both the Samsung Tab 4 7" and the Tab S 10.5" and it did not work for either. Could have been a bad unit but I wasn't going to try however many to find a good one.

Yes but I only tried it with a 8GB thumb drive.

What devices does it actually work on? devices will work on it but it will not simultaneously charge. it will only charge if connected in reverse.

This device works well with my Samsung Galaxy Tablet.. no problem at all!

Does this work on a acer A500?

Unsure if you have tried yet. But this was designed for Samsung Tablets. Due to Samsung putting a Resistive Code to enable the specific mode to allow Voltage going in while being in OTG Mode. Lots of other devices don't have this and will just accept power or use a totally different resistor. This is Samsung Specific. Would be kinda bad to spend the money and it doesn't work or becomes damaged.
