Pleased - beyond expectation
I was originally concerned the plotter would be too small or too simplistic.It was not, it scans very quickly and keeps all of the immediate area on screeen.I was pleased beyond expectation.1- I saved $100 in addition to eliminating shipping and taxes by using Amazon2- The plotter aquires a fix super quick and scrolls seamlessly, quicker than any other brand3- The menues and functions are logical and easy to use4- The plotter is rugged, waterproof and has a bright screen5- The plotter uses an internal antenna, so the install is very simple6- Cost and ease of use makes this essential safety equipment

A disappointment
The level of detail is way less than the previous, 15-year-old model that was on my boat. Thankfully, I have a much better chartplotter at my lower helm, but navigating from my flybridge is nerve wracking.

Nice upgrade from my GPSMap 176c
Nice, fast, chartplotter. I rigged a wooden mounting platform on the grab bar that's around the steering pedestal on my sailboat. Works great. The screen is bright and easy to read. And it's very nice to set a warning depth for the chart, which makes low water soundings show in red.

The gps works perfectly. Just connected it to my vhf radio for the dsc location transmittion and it works great. Very happy with purchase. Shipping was prompt and recieved the product in a timely mannor.

A good replacement for my Older Garmin 162
Arrived promptly. It was easy to adapt it to my existing holder. Found satellites quickly and the internal antenna seems to be sufficient Waypoints, routes and tracks are fairly intuitive The Instructions are poorly organized. I miss the bearing arrow pointer to destinations.

Garmin got me home
I got my monies worth the first day I hadthis product on my boat. I was salmon fishing about 4 miles off the coast of Oregon when the fog rolled in and visibility went to about 100 feet. I didnt know much about the product then but knew enough to use the tracking feature from the dock. I was able to follow my track back to the harbor entrance (only seeing the entrance at about 100 feet) Without this product I might still be floating out there somewhere. I'm still reading and trying to make use of all of the features, I think I should have purchased a 441s but othere then that I'm very happy with this purchase
