My wife really wanted grilled salmon. She hadn't had it in quite a while because I'm allergic and she felt bad eating something I used to really enjoy in front of me. I decided to surprise her and bought these planks to grill her (and our German Shepherd) some salmon for our anniversary. I managed to hide them while they soaked for about 24 hours, and I hid the salmon in plain sight by wrapping them up in butcher paper like the New York strip steaks I'd bought. They're the perfect size for a piece of salmon, they smell great, they're nice and thick, and they worked well. If I really wanted to, I'm sure I could get more than one use out of each plank, they actually held up really well, but they're cheap enough that I toss them after one use. The salmon turned out perfect. I'll definitely buy them again once I've used all 6 of these.

These planks are the perfect size and depth for grilling salmon. Just soak them for a couple of hours and putt them on the grill. They hold together without burning up and produce an even cooking surface. Great smell and subtle taste.

I like that these are American made cedar planks. Fresh cedar smell. They are a small size and don’t fit a salmon fillet without cutting it up.

Great product, makes a big difference grilling salmon

The planks are don't have the roughness that other cheaper ones do, and I can use them twice if I soak them well enough. They give the salmon a nice smokey taste.

With guests, it may be something they have not experienced before, so planked salmon is a nice ice breaker. Best of all, it's pretty much foolproof.

I bought a different product that I was happy with, then ordered this one. My bad that I didn't realize these were only 5 inches wide, whereas the other was 5.5inches...makes a difference! I could angle to salmon pieces on the 5.5, which I won't be able to do here, ergo I will need to use two boards for two pieces. These are also thinner than the other...I am less certain what that will mean. The other brand said you could re-use because they were thicker...well maybe for some people, but I think one use is all you get when the underside gets so burned. Have not used these yet, and they probably do the job...but not cost effective as described above.

I use to purchase planks from Meier seafood department; however, it seems that the discontinued carrying it or just inconsistent ordering them. This is good quality for grilling and economical compared to other brands online. I have ordered more since first trying them summer 2024.
