I've looked at a lot of umbrella hats over the past few years, but never bought one because the umbrella was always so small that I figured a sun hat and some spray silicone would work just as well and look a lot less stupid. This one is so big, and so inexpensive that I had to try it - AND I LOVE IT. It's wide enough to keep me completely dry while walking my dogs in the rain, and even without the chin strap cinched up, it stays in place while I bend over to pickup their messes. It's weirdly comfortable, doesn't blow off my head in a 5 mph wind, and doesn't look different from a regular umbrella from a distance, or the side, or even the front unless it's tilted enough for someone to see the head gear. Maybe I'm just getting older, but I'm not embarrassed to wear it. I will wear it all seasons to keep the rain and sun off me. One day someone will probably invent a more attractive head gear for these things, and I'll probably upgrade, and I wouldn't mind if it were just a few inches wider to keep me dryer in sideways rain, and maybe slightly deeper to hide the ugly head gear, but just as it is, it's an awesome umbrella, and a good investment of $10.

I really wanted to love this product and I did! However, I did have to return it because of two major reasons for me. First, it was difficult for me to open since my hands ache a lot. But once opened it was great and covered my entire head. I could use my hands to do other things instead of holding the umbrella. It was nice to be able to carry my dog downstairs in the rain without having to get wet. With that being said, the 2nd reason that lead me to return it was that the umbrella was too big and cumbersome in a way that didn't allow me to bump into things and get caught. It works extremely well in open spaces. But for the reasons I needed it for, the space wouldn't allow me to walk freely. Rather than getting frustrated with it I had to return it. However, that doesn't mean that I didn't think it was a great invention and product. They used very good and sturdy materials.

So far great. With a 90° day out, immediately dropped the temp to 70's. Easy to operate even without instructions. I will buy again!

I purchased this UPF 50+ Beach Umbrella with Adjustable Universal Clamp in April 2026 and finally got around to using it this summer while working in the yard. Overall, the umbrella performed exactly as I hoped it would. The UPF protection seems solid, it provides excellent shade, and the adjustable universal clamp made it easy to attach securely wherever I needed it. Setup was straightforward, and it felt sturdy while open — perfect for staying protected during outdoor yard work. Unfortunately, I ran into an issue when trying to close it after use. One of the end caps fell right off. When I checked the others, they all appear to be attached with what looks like just a single thread connecting the tip to the umbrella fabric. This feels like a weak point in the design and makes me worry about durability over time, especially with repeated opening and closing. For the price and how well it worked while in use, I’m a little disappointed in the quality of those finishing details. If the manufacturer reinforces the end caps, this would be a 5-star product. As it stands, it’s still usable but I’ll be extra careful with it going forward.

The most helpful thing Ave ever bought. Can be used on rainy days and sunny days. Cool. And that's one of the ways Ave solved my problems of working outdoors all day.

This is a very dangerous device if your goal is to use it as a handsfree umbrella for E-scooter or bicycle use. On a day of slight rain, and very little to no wind at all i decided to give it a try. At first it seemed lovely and extremely useful. Exactly what i needed until a slight wind blew as a car drove by. The umbrella caught the wind and nearly yanked me from the scooter into traffic, then now loosened by that experience its loose head wrapping fell. Blocking my vision and forcing me to come to a complete stop and remove it completely or suffer the danger every single time a car was anywhere near me ever. It was cheap, but clearly cheap for a reason. This will kill you. Do not buy unless your plan is to use it while standing still no where near wind.

"Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night..." if your a city letter carrier, this thing is one of the most practical pieces of equipment in your arsenal. If you're moving at a good clip, it won't do much to keep your legs or feet dry...but neither will a regular umbrella. What it does do masterfully is keep the upper half of you dry, which means keeping the mail dry...and it frees up your hands! I only wish there was another, slightly larger version, like maybe 42". Tip: get yourself a can of silicone tent waterproofer and spray it down when your first get it. Not sure if it's necessary, but don't feel like finding out the hard way. I've had mine almost 2 months and it has paid for itself ten times over already and hasn't broken yet. I plan on buying 2 more as back ups. Even if it were only to last a month, at $10 a pop, I would buy 11 more to get me through the year, that's how much I ❤️ this thing. I'd also recommend the one with a wind flap. You might look silly, but you'll have the last laugh.

Umbrella is really fun and cool; great for the price. Is built well so stays still in heavy winds and chin straps stop it from coming off. Is a great size as completely covers the shoulders with space to for another person.

Not worthy, low quality material with high cost. I bought it at 2200INR. I don't know why amazon showing such products.

Bought this as a joke for my mom for Christmas as she likes to walk with Nordic poles & struggles when it rains. She actually loved it and wore it frequently with her walking group in rainy Vancouver. She was devastated when she lost it at a coffee shop so I bought her another one. She also asked me to buy one for her friend. Unexpected perfect gift!
