I love this knife, it comes in this elegant luxurious box which makes it perfect for a gift which I got for myself. It cuts like a dream and I love the feel of it in my hand it's stable but not heavy I feel like I have a good grip on the handle but at the same time, I feel like the top part is working with me when I chop. As I said, LOVE, this knife everything about it feels luxurious and well made from the box (that you can keep as a case by the way) to the handle to the blade.

Knife was just delivered about 2 hours ago (A DAY EARLY!!! YES!!) and I was ready!! Making a quick pot of my version of chop suey.Tasked with veggie and chicken cutting I set to work using this new chef's knife.Initial use proved fantastic! Sliced and diced several pounds of chicken and veggies in no time. I have a lot of kitchen cutlery and take great care to keep everything clean and sharp at all times. I must say this knife was a pleasure to use. Since I just got it I can't comment on how well it will hold it's edge or how it will react when it's time to be sharpened, but out of the box it's impressive.From my initial use I can say this is a good knife and recommend it - especially at the price point!

This knife is well made, balanced, and sharp. It's a pleasure to work with it and has "cut' my meal preparation time significantly. I was concerned it might be too big (I'm petite) but it fits comfortably in my hand, and handles easily and well. I didn't realize how much effort and time I was putting into cutting, chopping, trimming, and slicing with my former knife. It is a true pleasure working with Saken chef's knife.

I purchased the Saken knife, order #11454344134245061, on 12/22/2018, as I wanted a good chiefs knife in my kitchen, that I did not have to use my special belt sharpener all the time just to keep the blade sharp. When I saw the price I thought maybe that I was going to get a sharp knife that would last for a few uses and the out comes my sharpener. Boy was I ever wrong, in fact it is so sharp, after cutting up a turkey, all kinds of veggies, chesses, salami, you name it, that my wife refuses to use it, as she is scared of it. I think my butcher block is going to get a whole new set of knifes. Thank you for such a wonderful knife, have not had a knife this sharp for this long since I was a Boatswains mate in the Navy!

I'm not sure why I waited so long to buy a new knife. What a difference it makes in food prep!! I like the way the Saken 8" chef's knife performs and feels in my hand. So much better than my cheap santoku knife.
