Black numbers on white rectangle
Clean area where number go with alcohol wipes. Dry with paper towel. These numbers really stick! I put the wrong one on and could not get it off. I just stuck the correct number on top. Very thin vinyl, so it doesn't show. Only I know (and now you!)Rectangular numbers peel easily from backing. Just bend the backing back at one corner and you will be able to easily peel the number rectangle off. Remember, you only get one chance to stick these down, so work slowly and carefully.Recommended.

Not sure if these are for outdoor use
I bought these to use on metal mailboxes. The are very thin and light and I'm not sure they will last for long. They were VERY difficult to remove from the paper backing. We were going to return them because we could get them to separate in the right place but after more trying we were able to get them off. Adhesive also was very light- and I was able to reposition the numbers. I will update the review in 6 - 8 months to see if they have longitivity.

Small numbers on thin backing
This number set for a mailbox was very inexpensive. They are very thin so I am not sure how long the adhesive will work or if the numeral will fade.
