Not powerful enough

Waste of money if you’re looking for a decent one for approx kitchen size
Bought this primarily for the kitchen but it was no where near as good as our previous two. I would say this is more for smaller ares like cupboards and infer stores

dehumidifier
Compact, light to move but very slow clearing damp. We have used lots of different models over the years and this one hardly does the job.

Works very well, quiet and reliable.
This has made a huge difference in our perpetually damp bedroom. The noise of the fan is generally low, so we have never had a problem sleeping with the unit running. It might even serve as a nice ‘white noise generator’ for those who like to sleep with that. In other rooms of a home, I doubt you would even notice it was on. It does a fine job of pulling humidity out, and is so far trouble-free after 24-hour-a-day operation for several months. One thing to note is that the unit will still run even if the catch basin is not installed. The ‘auto-stop’ mechanism on the basin works fine, so it won’t over-fill that and leak, but it is possible to turn the unit on and run it without the basin installed, so any moisture would just run out the back. Granted, one would have to be daft or malicious to actually do that, but it is worth pointing out.
