GE PT9550SFSS Profile 30" Stainless Steel Electric Double Wall Oven - Convection

Works. Love the oven but the installers were a joke. They looked at the old oven said "it's built into the wall and I would need a contractor to do the install." I replied with "of course it's in the wall , it's a wall oven." They then refused to work and left. I hired a handyman who installed the oven in 30 minutes with no issues.

The oven is fine when working but after 8 months of use it died - repair took almost a month and working with GE for service has been awful. I don't write a lot of reviews but must warn others who look to purchase this to hope you don't need any repairs because if you do expect to be on hold for almost an hour just to speak with someone at GE!!! I wont even go into how sketchy the repairman was - lets just say he shows up in a vehicle driven by his mother (I assume) and had not company logo anywhere and when asked for statement on the repairs he would not give it and not once would provide his name... Yeah think about that coming into your home!

This is a very good product. It is the first convection oven that I have owned and I am particularly impressed how well it cooks meats. The temperature probe works well. It is very useful to be able to monitor the progress remotely as well as on the oven display. This meant that I am able to have the rest of the meal finished at the same time as the meat is done very easily. I am also able to makesure the meat is not overcooked, which can be difficult for beef roasts as the difference between a medium rare and a medium roast can be very little cooking time.The sliding racks for both ovens are very nice. One slight negative is that the other racks can be a little difficult to get in and out.I've only used the ability to control the oven remotely and that was to preheat the oven. The oven was very easy to connect via wifi and it is very easy to use app. The fact that you need to press a button on the oven to enable remote access after every use is very slightly annoying.From an installation standpoint this oven has been designed to fit many openings including additional trim and mounting components (pedestal) for openings that would be too large otherwise.Overall a great product, easy to install and easy to use, with results exceeding my expectations.

2nd review being posted. They did not have my permission to remove the first review. They called and asked if I would accept money from them to remove the review. I did not give them permission. They appear to have removed it anyway.Basically The seller misplaced my oven. They were less than helpful in finding it. It cost us time and money to have them fix their mistake. They were less than helpful in this issue.Oven review: This oven has worked well. The fans are not as noisy as other convection ovens which is nice. It heats up quickly and maintains temperature. The thermometer tool is a blessing, no more burned or dry meat! I am recommending this oven again but not the seller.

A wonderful appliance, Touch screen controls are easy to use. Used convection bake for two pies and a Turkey Breast, all were baked perfectly.Warning! The oven was delivered at night, I had the delivery crew take the cardboard shipping box off (They cut around the box at the bottom) to inspect for damage with a flashlight. I didn't see the bottom rear right corner because it was sitting on a strip of wood and a foam block that came up the side a few inches. It was dropped in shipping and was bent up with a slight buckling of the right side and the back. This didn't affect the operation of the oven and was cosmetic. GE should make a stronger bottom. Also the oven was shipped with out the two probes which GE shipped immediately when notified. I had to install the rack rails, four nuts for each rail, 16 nuts for four rails. GE should do this at the factory.

This oven almost gave me a hernia installing. At 400 lbs, I needed 2 helpers and a car jack to pop into the opening in the cabinet. It was worth it though. Heats wonderfully. Very intuitive controls. Love the Brillion app to control it from my cellphone. If I can pick at anything, I wish the shelf grates whad rollers instead of grinding metal to metal as you slide the grates in and out. Even with the provided graphite grease they sometimes screech and make your hair stand up at attention. There is ONE roller tray/grate/shelf (whatever its called). You would think that a double oven would at least bring one of these for each oven. Aside from that, a fantastic product!

This is a message in a bottle.I am reaching out to anyone for help on my GE double wall oven installed four years ago. Six months ago, it started overheating. I have had six service calls from two different service agencies. Both circuit boards and both temperature sensors have been replaced and the oven still overheats. Things shouldn't be this difficult. Somebody out there knows about this issue and what the solution is. I am on the verge of trashing a $2,500.00 oven.Does anyone know about this issue? The first service man told me my oven was running normally. I thought perhaps I was nuts until the second service guy told me that he too measured the overtemperature conditions. Even still, given that all of the active parts have been replaced, he has no idea how to fix.I called GE and begged them to let me speak to an engineer, but they have steadfastly refused.I've attached a photo of my oven, showing a setting of 400, and a measured temperature of 531. I purchased a digital thermometer with a thermocouple so I could get accurate readings. If the mighty gods at GE could just show me a little mercy. I know that they have bigger fish to fry than a simple consumer. I pride myself on getting things done, but this oven is kicking my ass.

LOVE these ovens! These are the perfect ovens for anyone who bakes or likes to cook. I do both. The convection and cool down fan are both quiet. The bread proofing and warming options are super useful. I have not linked my phone to the ovens yet, as I haven't had a reason to do so. I've used the probe a few times and meat comes out perfect. I would definitely buy them again, and I recommend them.
