I think it should work with Kindle Fire device, though I am not 100% certain. I mainly use my MiFi device with a Nook Color device; I've never used a Kindle. You will need a web browser to configure the MiFi device. I used the web browser on my Nook Color device to configure the MiFi device. Also the Kindle device will need WiFi. On my Nook device the web browser can be set into either "mobile" or "desktop" mode -- setting up the MiFi device did not work in "mobile" mode so I set the browser into "desktop" mode and that worked. I dunno whether Kindle devices have a similar option.Note that sometimes my device seems to forget its settings so I have to do the setup again.After Hurricane Sandy, for several days our Comcast service was down so I put the MiFi device in a window to provide Internet access.
