Revolutionary Women: A Book of Stencils

This was s not really what I expected.. but nevertheless a great book .. when it said usable stencils I though it would have usable stencils not just pics which are stencils .. also smaller than expected a little lager than a novel rather than art book size ..

No actual stencils. I should have read the reviews carefully before buying. I'm not sorry to have the book, it's pretty badass. But I bought it to have stencils for a project.

Interesting as a history book, but be aware there are not actual stencils in this book. These are the monotone images you can copy onto another medium, and then you will have to cut out your own stencils.

The author knew alot of the early anarchists and socialists, and their various ideas. Which I enjoyed looking up on Wikipedia.

This book helped me stencil a bond between me and my feminist sister.

Excellent resource for introducing a selection of the souls that hold up this earth-the land, and the people.

Impressive. The authors were not afraid to include women who were true revolutionarys--and who made a true difference in our lives.

This is a fantastic little book that I read in one sitting. It gives an overal and unbiased view of the activities of the various women featured. This is a book I wish I had had a long time ago as it has made me aware of people I had never heard of. I intend to follow up some of the stories more in depth and fortunately the book has a good enough biblography and reasearch hints and seems academically rigorous enough to do so. Overall the stories awoke the revolutionary in me and as the stencils, (my original reason for purchasing the book), are both simple, fantastic and you are openly invited to use them, expect to see them on a t-shirt or wall soon!. Meanwhile I intend to purchase further copies as gifts for friends

I was expecting a bigger book to be honest, also the cover was a bit dirty but overall okay.
