My set up:low level laptop, off to the side at a 45 degree angle and a larger monitor set up direct in front of me.The fact of the matter is, just regular laptop height / use is not that flattering a look. You don't get a full look of you, you're squished and if you're like me and have a different screen, it looks like you're not looking directly at your audience.I wanted to look directly at audience with a cam that let me choose a better angle. THIS IS IT.EASY install, plugged it in, went to Windows camera app, changed camera (upper right hand icon with camera turn icon) and done. It also has a mic, so I disabled the laptop's mic and camera, so I know exactly when it's on (plug/unplug). Plus, the camera has indicator lights: 1 for powered on, 1 for "in use".I actually took stills from this to show my friend because the angle, lighting made me look thinner, clearer, sharp!Keeper!

I use this camera for work meetings on a daily basis. It is still working great after over 4 years. Great quality and value.

Easy and straightforward packaging. Looks nice. Easy to install. Found it a little bit of a challenge to figure out how to change my camera from the built-in to the webcam, but that was me and not the webcam. I tried it on my SurfacePro and my Lenovo Chromebook. The webcam connected to both computers without a problem. I successfully used it on Zoom and hangouts with no problem. The camera is physically great. Even when I dropped it (long USB cord and the cat came running through), it worked fine (oops). The picture quality was less than the built-in on either of the two computers. The result was that I didn't look as good when I switched from the built into the webcam. It needed adjustment on it's RGB -- I looked much redder. I check with a couple of friends, and 2 of 4 liked the redder one better. I tried to upload two pictures from the Lenovo so you could compare. But only in comparison to the built in. The picture/video quality on this camera is excellent and shows as full 1080p. And the picture shows appropriate colors every time. Also, it is true plug & play unlike some other cameras that require installing 3rd party software in order to get them to function and has been recognized in Zoom every single time without issue. I have an AUSDOM camera that was significantly more expensive that would sometimes show up with a yellow tint over the entire image (depending on the room lighting) and also uses some old software that needs to run every time the computer restarts, but this camera does not have either of those problems. I've very satisfied with the purchase so far. Note that I have not tried out the microphone on the camera yet.

I tried several inexpensive web cams. This one provided the best image. In particular it handles low light and light contrasts (e.g. daylight from window behind me) very well.The problem is that for some reason after my Windows 10 PC is not being used (e.g. overnight,) when I would start in a Zoom meeting the sound would be faint or totally screwy. I found that disconnecting and reconnecting the USB chord from my PC would fix this, but it kept happening again and again. In addition, my daughter used the same web cam and experienced the same problem.I was also told the volume of my voice pickup was too low even when working. The sound issues are why I gave it only 3 stars for a rating that would otherwise have been 5 stars.Because the picture was superior to others that I tried, I kept this cam and ordered an inexpensive mic to be used for sound (Jounivo USB Computer Microphone with Mute Button.) With that mic working well, all is good.

I took the free offer through Dericam on social media. The process of securing the device for free was quick.I tested the device this morning.Set up was easy, and the lense cover fit securely for privacy and the desktop tripod it came with is pretty neat but it is compatible with other tripods.The video quality was above average, I'm not sure that it was 1080p due to the pixelations around the edges of subjects.The audio was above average as well.I used OBS video software for my testing since I will be using that software in the future.Thank you Dericam for the product I would most definitely recommend this product for the low cost and the quality.

I love how easy it is to install. It is an excellent value for the money. I love the wide lens and it's a sharp picture. I am pleased with my purchase so far. Also I received it within a few days (less than one week) unlike other sellers who were stalling and they kept pushing back the date for a longer delay. I waited over 30 days for the other one, so I ordered this one at a great price and better speed of delivery.
