Never before reprinted material from a comics great!
This is the first volume in this series that contains never before collected or reprinted material. Being a great fan of Frank Robbins, I just had to buy it, and I wasn't disappointed. There were a few strips that had obviously been reproduced from newspaper copies rather than printer's proofs, and these frankly looked horrible. The Phantom series of reprints had to resort to collectors strips in order to preserve continuity, but they had some digital process to clean those up so they didn't stick out like a sore thumb. It was probably less than a week's worth of strips, so it wasn't too bad, and it did help to preserve continuity. Generally, the quality of reproduction is fantastic. Really nice paper stock, and the size of reproduction may be twice what they appeared in newspapers. The format is also very pleasing (2 up on a page) Frank Robbins was truly hitting his stride by this time, and his daily strip continuities are outstanding. Other than a really bland introduction which is kind of insulting to a comics great (Frank Robbins is one of the great masters of the art form.), I highly recommend this series.

Aventuras, aventuras
Dá asas à imaginação as aventuras de Johnny Hazzard. E dá vontade de conhecer os lugares retratados graficamente.
