This is a perfect way for my book loving child to spend time while I get some chores done. The device is easy to use by matching symbols. If your kid can match they can use it. The stories are quite short but kids can “read” them over and over without parent getting sick of it. We’ve never watched the TV shows so I’m not sure how they compare. I do wish the paper were better quality—it’s magazine like and not up to serious abuse. My 3 year old cares for her books well but we have to keep them away from the 1 year old who likes to rip things. I pull them out for special times and she can’t get enough of them. I am probably going to get another set of stories in this style.

Got this for my daughter (who loves all of her me readers) and it was a hit. I asked her Christmas evening if she’d read any of them yet and she replied “I’ve already read all of them”. She just turned 4 and I love that these help her read independently and fuel her love for reading!

My 4 year old loves going through the books and having them read to her. A winner for her birthday! She's been getting more into books and reading, getting 8 books that can be read to her made this one of her favorite presents this year.I gave it four stars cause the pages of the books are a bit thin, she ripped one in just a few days. Also she can't read yet so it makes it difficult to find the right book to have read becauae the picture on the reader is not the same as on the book.

I love the reader books are easy for kids to figure out. A simple matching icon for each page. Yes theese readers do my job for me on nights I am short on time while making dinner or doing chores I can hear her turn the page and hit the button and I know she is getting in her 20 minutes of "reading" time for the evening.

Always a winner with the little ones! My kids loved these type of books when they were kiddos and now my niece who is 3 loved it! They are able to push the buttons and hear the story as they go without the help of anyone

For what this book set is advertised for it was fine. I don’t love the overly ‘girly’ story lines but like I said, as advertised. More than that, though, I found the stories to be very basic. As a reading specialist, the stories were lacking any real substance. She loves it though and used it independently right from the get go at 3.5.

My granddaughter loves reading books on this. She loves so many Nickelodeon characters. Easy to use and sturdy.

Bought it as a birthday present. The 3yr loved it and she's using it all the time
