Easily the best gaming monitor on the market right now!
Let me preface this by saying I do NOT play "twitch-reflex" style games such as Fortnite, Call of Duty, Apex Legends, etc. I cannot comment as to the upper end of things regarding pixel response times or ghosting.1. Design/Looks/Useability : It looks great, period. Very thin bezel area, cool backlighting (though I wish it were a bit more configurable), and a relatively small footprint for the monitor type. I really only have one small gripe here, and it is the OSD. It's not TOO bad, but it does take some trial and error to understand how the navigation works.2. Picture quality : Though this version lacks HDR, the colors are gorgeous. I have a small to moderate amount of IPS glow, but it isn't so bad that I feel like it really is an issue. Ultimately it is an acceptable tradeoff for what you get otherwise versus VA.3. G-sync : Worked perfectly once I turned it on. This is my first adaptive sync monitor of any kind, and ... wow ... what a difference. No dead pixels, no scratches, and a lowish amount of IPS glow...so I think I made out ok. One small gripe I do have is the size of the included displayport cable : it is only 3' long, and with a monitor that takes up so much space, I think that's a little underwhelming. They certainly could have bumped it up to 4.5 or 6 feet and it would have been a much more comfortable fit.Anyway, summary : If you're on the fence, I say give it a whirl as the worst thing that could happen is you have to return it because you got a dud.

Two defective models in a row!
I don't know what's up with LG but we got one of these and it was mind-blowing fantastic till just a couple of days before Amazon return window. Then, constant flicker unless we went down to 75Hz and then what's the point of this monitor? Amazon did a quick replacement. Then, weeks later, there were huge black and red bars going down the screen and tiny black lines running across the bottom. We switch between a Mac (HDMI) and a gaming PC (DP) which LG said was possible and even when we returned to factory settings, the bars stayed no matter whether we were on the Mac or PC. This monitor is wonderful in theory. In reality, they must not have tested it beyond a few weeks because it's just not ready for Amazon Prime-time.

Bold colors but noticeable glow
I just got this monitor yesterday afternoon. I was transitioning from an Acer 1440p 144hz TN panel and was looking to make the jump into ultrawides. The monitor looks really nice, not too "gamer" like some of the other ridiculous looking monitors out (Asus). The picture looked pretty good right out of the box, but the brightness definitely need to come down for me. The back RGB ring is pretty nice and bright, and I actually ended up really liking it for bias lighting.Colors are very bold, reds were noticeably redder but not a huge deal. It looked pretty good overall though with ZERO dead/stuck pixels.120hz OC worked no problem with no flickers, scan-lines, artifacting, etc...Maybe it's because I'm not used to IPS glow, but when I booted up the new Resident Evil 2 I realized that blacks are basically gray, and then I started to notice the entire left side of the screen is considerably brighter than the right side no matter how I adjusted my head. I started to notice the uneven brightness on the desktop and while watching movies too. It was extremely distracting, and for a $1k monitor I will be sending it back unfortunately. The G-Sync version is gimped at 120hz compared to the 144hz F model due to G-Sync module limitations, but I didn't notice the drop from 144 to 120 at all. There is no sRGB mode, and there is also no HDR mode which the F version has. None of that bothered me though since HDR is almost pointless on edge lit displays anyways right now.TFT Central has a wonderful review and comparison of both models you should check out as well.Edit: I added a picture I took with the monitor turned on but not hooked up to the PC. I know cell phone cameras showing IPS glow/blb are super exaggerated, but it does give you an idea as to how uneven each side is.
