ProMix Nutrition Whey Isolate Powder, Vanilla - 2.5 Pound

Hands down my favorite vanilla whey isolate.Do you know how hard it is to find a vanilla isolate that doesn't contain sucralose, stevia or monk fruit? As a former pastry chef and sommelier, and current autistic, I am..... particular..... about flavor and texture. It mixes well, even in a small amount of liquid. I regularly make a smoothie with 2 scoops of powder and 4oz of milk and 2oz each of yogurt and ice, and it doesn't clog up my glass straw. No weird textures or aftertastes.Yes, the bag doesn't reseal well, but I dump it into an airtight 12 cup Rubbermaid container that sits on my counter. Perfect fit. Problem solved.For the record, I've tried the chocolate as well, and the flavor is good, but the cocoa solids give the texture what I can only describe as a tannic (drying) quality. I like that it's not too sweet, but it's better for protein baking than in daily smoothies.I feel like the price is on par with other isolates, and for the quality, I will continue to buy the vanilla the rest of my life.

I like the natural ingredients and not having a bunch of chemicals added. I wish it had a stronger vanilla flavor, but I don't notice any after taste other brands have that's gross. Isolate gets really foamy when mixed with almond milk in a Ninja. But, that happened with other isolate brands, too.

Don't know how effective of a protein it is yet too early to know. When you put in a glass of water it sits at the top but if you stir about 30 seconds let it sit and re-stir it mixes very well along with dissolving. Have no lumps whatsoever which normally happens with protein drinks. Vanilla flavor pretty much non-existing. Pretty pricey for what you get. Probably will buy again but needs to up the flavor so you actually taste vanilla!

This is my go-to protein powder! It has clean ingredients, blends smoothly, and tastes great. I also love using it for baking since it mixes in so well. Highly recommend it if you're looking for a versatile, high-quality protein powder.

I was EXTREMELY excited to order this product, rave reviews, clean ingredients, etc. only to be severely disappointed. First of all the bag that the product comes in is supposed to be a resealable pouch, no matter how you open it and if you open it correctly the seal is not affixed to the packaging correctly leaving you with a 2.5 or 5 lb bag of powder with no way to keep it fresh or from spilling. This alone I could've got over if the product was enjoyable. It is NOT. The taste is horrendous. I ordered both vanilla and chocolate; the vanilla has zero to no flavor and smells like sulfur/rotten eggs. Given it is probably the more enjoyable of the two flavors. It is NOT sweet at all and the vanilla flavor is pretty much non existent. The chocolate literally almost tastes like nothing with a hint of bitter eggs. They are disgusting. I will say they seem to mix well and don't clump; nothing gritty when swallowing. However getting it down is a tasks in itself. Contacted Amazon about packaging and taste and was graciously offered a refund to "purchase again". I will NOT be purchasing again. I cannot do and although it pains me terribly I have thrown both bags into the garbage where they belong. Now given the ingredient list is "clean" and minimal I may be harsh in my review, as this just may be how something like this should smell/taste but I really don't think so. Also serving size is TWO scoops not one so you are paying significantly more for LESS product, and horribly tasting product at that. I read that batches all seem to smell, taste, and look different which is just not a good selling point - maybe I got a bad batch? Who knows - my advice don't waste your money.

the protein itself is not bad, i just barely tried it but it doesn't have much of a taste for french vanilla. it was smooth and mixed well. i couldve maybe used too much water, but who knows. the main issue here is packaging, and oh my god the packaging is terrible. who knows why they didnt just do a tub like every other decent protein company (could be pfas but there's different materials that can be used to limit those). the bag refuses to close because you need to scrape out all of the protein powder from the zipper mechanism. whoever designed this should get paid less because this is pretty much why anything in a bag with a zipper is useless if you're not actually controlling the powder itself or the shipping process. the scoop is also very off mark, the serving is 2 scoops or 38g, but 2 scoops loosely packed give you about 50g of powder. im never buying this again unless there's an updated packaging and definitely recommend weighing instead of just blind scooping bc your servings will be way off and this already doesn't even look like actual 30 servings. just be cautious with this product. i spent a good 3 minutes trying to clean out the zipper as best as possible to finally close somewhat decently.

Absolute favorite whey protein in the market for the simple and clean ingredients, taste, and the no stevia aspect.

Did a bunch of searches to locate the top Vanilla Flavored Protein Powders (Animal based) after trying my current vanilla protein and absolutely cannot stand the taste. I looked for the brand with the most natural ingredients and very few "chemicals" and came up with this one. It's SO good. It does have a little bit of carbs from the coconut sugar but I'm ok with that to for-go a bunch of artificial sweeteners. The flavor is a delicious vanilla and subtly sweet not overly sweet by any means. I tried the vanilla today mixed with dairy milk/ice/coconut-almond milk. Now that I know how it tastes solo, I can add fruits, peanut butter, cinnamon, coffee and/or stevia chocolate chips when I want to experiment. I don't mind the bag as much as some of the other reviewers. I just emptied some of the bag into a counter top tupperware I have, for convenience. It's a little pricier than some other brands but it seems you get what you pay for. I'll be buying this one again and might try out the chocolate flavor as well. Five stars!
