Q: This stuff is really messy. It is far from being a “gel”. Is it supposed to be this runny and sticky?

The stuff is somewhat messy and runny, however I give my cat only a small amount three times a week so it is not that big of a deal. I used to buy the maple syrup one but found a tuna tasting one and switched. She is still not wild about the stuff though.

Q: will this help a cat pass hairball?

Yes! I use it regularly when my cat is constipated since he’s older. It works every time.

Q: How long does it take to work?

It should take about 12 - 24 hours. If it doesn't you should take cat to vet. I had to give it with a syringe as my cat would not eat it. It worked well in a 24hr time frame.

Q: Product description says 2.5 oz, but photo of product shows 4.25 oz?

Sorry, I can’t answer for this advertiser. The size I received was 4.25 oz and do not know why there is such a difference in the printed material and the photo.
