Pleasantly surprised!
I was a little skeptical because of the low price, but this stuff works like my super-expensive microdermabrasion scrub. I've used it on wet skin but I get better results if my skin is blotted dry -- then you can actually see the dead skin coming off, leaving the fresh, clean, clear, soft skin underneath ready for your moisturizers. I was expecting it to be rough along the lines of the St. Ives brand, but I was wrong. This scrub is super fine and works well at the sides of the eyes, around the mouth and the décolletage area. You have to rinse a bit more when using on slightly dry skin, but that's really no problem. I have sensitive skin and have not experienced any type of negative reaction. I'm a believer.

Gentle and Effective Scrub
This scrub has very fine particles and is less rough than the St. Ives scrub and less irritatting than Neutrogena acne scrub. The fragrance is mild and pleasant. My teen son has really sensitive skin. We have searched for something that works without making his skin more dry and red. This product works very well and he uses it once or twice a week. It can be used as a mask, but it needs to be applied in a thin coat and spread well since it is more on the liquid side than some other scrubs which some may not like. As a mask, it works well since it tightens the pores and any breakouts look smaller. There are actually two scrubs from Petal Fresh, one which has a whitening product, but my son uses the regular scrub. We have used other Petal Fresh products and those with aloe are very gentle.

Newer formula, not the one pictured
This product was fantastic BEFORE the new and improved formulation. The picture (green stripe down right side of bottle) is the old product and not the product they are currently shipping. They sent the new formulation with smaller and less exfoliating sand/rocks. This is basically the same product at St Ives apricot scrub now. I miss the old product pictured...

Gentle exfoliant
I bought this because I'm a fan of the brand, and because I love walnut shell scrubs. The shell particles in this one aren't large, so you get a gentle exfoliating action. It reminds me of the old fashioned home exfoliant, baking soda. I used to use it when I was a teenager and had acne, just take a handful and some water and use it as a paste scrub on your face. That sensation is the same as Petal Fresh's Apricot scrub! I also have sensitive skin and this doesn't irritate my face or cause bumps. I probably won't buy it again because I like harsher scrubs, but it's good to have this gentle one on hand in case I want to switch it up.

Petal Fresh products: more water than real ingredients?
This review is for Petal Fresh products IN GENERAL, and the facial scrubs in particular. If you go to Petal Fresh website or online readings, at the first glance, it all sounds like good product with value. Decided to give it a try, starting with the Facial Scrub and some Facial Lotion (Aloe & Lavender). In short, this product sucks! If you are the type of people who actually would buy Suave personal hygiene products (shampoos, conditioners, etc), Petal Fresh products are of the same categories except a bit pricier (BUT, not worthwhile!) WHY? I assume most folks like myself, enjoy the PRODUCTS (not the added water)! Like Suave products, Petal Fresh products are super-diluted, I mean a 200 ml or 7.9 fl oz Peta Fresh Botanicals Facial Scrub (Aloe & Pomegranate) doesn't even last a month - because it is so watery, and when applied to your face, it wouldn't stick - it'd run off your cheeks!Facial scrubs and masks SHOULD be muddy, and one can thin it out with warm running water when showering - why pay ingredients that are at least 50% water. I ended up using more and it doesn't sound so 'value' anymore. I prefer using Japanese MUD facial scrub that are mask-like thicker paste that I can apply as little or as much as needed - and it STAYS on my face - if it doesn't stay, it can NOT work.Bypass this line of PF products altogether and spend your money elsewhere.....

Where were you my whole life?
I can't believe that this facial scrub could make me look fresher and my skin radiate in an instant within the first use. Yes, I am not kidding. I was on a two-week summer holiday and all the late night drinks, early morning flight, and a slightly lesser intake of water took a toll on my skin. It looked dull, uneven, and lifeless. I ordered this from Amazon at a ridiculously cheap price and boy was I glad I did! It scrubbed away all the dead skin cells (I admit, I'm a mass-cell-murderer) in a jiffy! My skin was so smooth and soft and it actually glows! It is not at all harsh and does smell really nice. I can't recommend this product enough. Together with the Vitamin A moisturiser I also got from Amazon, my skin is now healthier than ever!!However, I don't think this is meant to be used every single day. I think twice a week would be perfect. Also, the use of this scrub should not be limited to the face. I used it on my hands, soles, elbows, and underarms and I got the same smooth skin. Truly heaven sent!

Good product
This scrub smells lovely, however if you have sensitive skin like me it may be a bit too abrasive, due to the big exfoliating bits. It also is a little hard to wash off but does keep my skin soft and remove unwanted dry skin

Clean, fresh and soft skin!
This is just the same as your big brand apricot scrub but a lot cheaper. I'd say it was slightly better as well because the scrubby bits seemed finer. It leaves your skin feeling soft and fresh plus it seemed a bit thicker which meant you use less which means a bottle lasts a lot longer. Very good product!

Drying and not that 'natural'
Despite the fact that this product has some lovely essential oils in it, it's still drying to my skin. I'm guessing this is due to the fact that two of the first five ingredients are ALCOHOL! I was actually quite surprised to see this. Also, there are some other ingredients I don't like to see in a product billed as 'botanical' and having 'natural ingredients' (e.g., sodium lauryl sulfate, methylisothiazolinone). Finally, it contains menthol, which I find to be a poor choice of ingredient in a scrub because it can sting when you give yourself a reasonably vigorous facial. I would definitely not repurchase this item. The hunt to replace my too-expensive Neal's Yard scrub continues.....

very good value
This is excellent value as it is such a big tube. I only use a scrub once a week, amy more often is not advisable so this will probably last me a year. Quite large grains, leaves skin soft and smooth.
