QUALITY PRODUCT
Seems to hold up quite well for those canister filter housings. Have used it on hundreds of vehicles so far and no issues yet.

Thank God. Finally found one that works
I got schooled on how difficult it can be to remove the Toyota plastic filter housings on my 2017 highlander. I had the early oil changes at the dealer. I wanted to do start doing my own oil changes. I bought all the material including a filter. I removed the oil and then went to change the filter and that’s when all the trouble began. I broke two other cheaper wrenches that never seemed to fit snuggly and tore up the plastic housing tabs. At that point, I just added fresh oil and left the filter alone not wanting to mess around with it until later.A few months later I decided to give this one a shot, or head to the dealer if it didn’t work. It fits snugly over the outer fluted portion of the filter housing, not the worthless tabs deeper on the housing like the other wrenches. I used a breaker bar and lo and behold. The damn thing finally came off. What a relief. I got rid of the plastic housing and bought a metal Toyota one at Autozone. This wrench works on that one as well. The plastic filter housings can give lots of problems. Dealers notoriously over torque them. Swapping out to the metal one was recommended by others who went through my pain. This thing is heavy duty and solid. Will take a lot of abuse. Believe the great reviews from the oil change industry guys. Start with this one and you won’t regret this purchase. I wish I had!

A tough little tool which survived a year of ruthless services my shop. Getting another one.
A versatile and tough little tool I always use. I work at a Toyota shop so this is my daily tool, and it only just broke after hundreds of uses breaking loose waaaaay over torqued filters. It broke at the welds, but until then it has never failed me. It fits on most Asian automaker filters, Such as Nissan, Honda, Subaru, Toyota, and hell even some Suzukis and Isuzus I’ve done. I’ve had filters detonate before this this gave out. Until it did… but that was a metal filter and I was using a 3 foot breaker bar, which was way beyond its intended use, and that was not my first time doing that. I’m getting another one ASAP. $30 for a year of brutal trails is a pretty damn good deal I’d say.

Perfect for my '03 Camry and '08 Corolla Spin-on Filters
I always struggled to get the oil filters removed from my '03 camry and '08 Corolla. The last time I had to crush the filter with channel locks to get it to budge. Apparently I've been tightening them a little too tight (though I only ever use my had to tighten - no tool). This tool fits PERFECTLY over the spin-on cartridges making it a breeze to remove the filters. I read a review that claimed they broke this tool. Not sure how they managed to do that! This is solid metal. Maybe the used an impact wrench? Crazy. Would definitely purchase again

Amazing product
This tool is so much better than the original Toyota filter cups. Works on the first try. I've worked in the automobile field since 2012. Trust me this is a must have if you are constantly dealing with toyota and Lexus vehicles or if you own one and plan on changing your own oil.

FINALLY, an oil filter removal tool for the Subaru 2.5i for under the engine in "The Ring of Fire".
This tool named: "CTA Tools 1726 Oil Filter Wrench - Compatible with Toyota" DOES remove (and install) the oil filter from the "Ring of Fire" underneath our "2012 Subaru Outback Limited 2.5i" with the EJ25 engine. For those having to replace (or install) this insanely, impossible to reach oil filter, it was a nighmare before I found this 1726 tool! This tool DOES THE JOB, but note: You Will need a 1/2" drive, with at least a 3" extension to get deep enough past the "Ring of Fire" heat manifold. Tip- Try not to wedge this CTA 1726 tool too deeply onto the top of the oil filter or it will wedge on and take extra work to remove the tool from the filter AFTER the oil filter is unscrewed from the car.I experienced this and had to use large channel lock pliers ( a large vise will work also) to separate this 1726 tool from the old filter. If you have this problem, carefully look or determine which way you applied force jamming onto the filter with the 1726 tool, and then use large channel lock pliers or a vise to go the opposite direction, to remove the old filter from the tool.Anyway, thank goodness that I FINALLY found a tool to remove this impossible to remove filter!

Great for Toyota oil filter caps. Can use 2 ratchets to remove stuck on drain plug.
This is a solidly built oil filter wrench for many Toyota oil filter caps. Nice tight fit. The unusual design leaves just enough room to put a 3/8" ratchet on the drain plug (on some canisters) while backing up the cap with a 1/2" wrench. This is easier to do after you remove the whole assembly. Sometimes the drain plug gets stuck and the whole assembly spins off the engine instead of just the plug. BTW. Many Toyota filter caps only require 18 lb/ft of torque. But some "mechanics" crank them on super tight as if they expect them to rotate a 3/4 turn after making contact like a regular oil filter. If some knucklehead overtightened the assembly, I recommend replacing the assembly if it is the black plastic type. My filter cap only turns a little after making contact. Completely different type of seal than regular oil filter. Please check your car or repair manual for details on your filter cap.

Tech tip
Working on Toyota's all day. This bad boy works great changing canister filters. It won't tear up the plastic housing like the other Toyota style will. Also it fits Honda spin on filters fyi and the Subaru burning ring of fire filter if you run into those. Only one flaw. The 1/2" drive wears out over time. Just replace it before it rounds out and smacks you in the face with the ratchet.
