These reading comprehension books contain a short text followed by comprehension questions and one question related to grammar. Then when these questions are corrected by the teacher, the child can bubble in the questions he got correct and tally up the number of correct questions. This is an awesome way of teaching the children to keep tab on their progress. No other work book contains this. In addition, these workbooks contain 180 lessons. Most other books contain half of this.

We are using this workbook (and other workbooks from the same company) as our "homework" for our 2024-2025 homeschool year. Our kiddo has been enjoying them and we are happy with the extra practice they are getting.

This is a wonderful source to give your child reading practice. The book has shot stories as well as longer ones. The questions were varied. Some related directly to text. Some were about root words or suffixes.

This workbook is easy to follow and provides skills that a second grade student needs to master in grade two. The format, layout and content is easily understood and it builds on previous learning skills to allow a child to recall previous information to build upon newly found information.

My son is second grader, thinking to improve his reading comprehension skills, this book is very goal oriented, no any boring exercise, it has short texts and questions which I was looking for.

We bought this because our kids just weren’t getting the reading comprehension skills at school and failing their tests. We have them do one page every day. I love that it’s set for their grade and the way the pages are set up help you keep track of progress.

I love this workbook. I had noticed that my son was really struggling with comprehension if he was the one reading. After using this workbook for months I have noticed a lot of improvement. I read along with him to correct anything he might get wrong, but he answers all the questions independently. I like that it's quick and simple to add into our daily routine.
