new twists on time-honored practices
I am all about the interweaving of faith and family. I found this book to be a useful guide to making religious expression more intentional and more present in our daily lives. While some ideas are certainly not new (blessing a child before bed, for example), the practice described was just different enough to refresh our bedtime routines. For our family, the best part was the pet burial. I tried to adapt so etching when we lost our beloved dog earlier this year, but I think the kids will cherish this ceremony more, and will better understand it. Overall, as someone who looks for ways to "value add" faith in everyday life, this book hits the right notes for me.

Great for families, educators and anyone planning children's activities.
Perfect for harried parents and faith educators, this book offers a range of ideas, and is simple to use. Each suggested activity outlines the ages it will work for, materials needed (if any), the time involved and some notes about how to do it. The book covers family traditions, ceremonies for life's changes, and adaptive ways to use traditional spiritual practices. The author is gracious is allowing for a range of parenting styles, and for children of different temperaments and abilities. Each practice, whether I wanted to do it right away or not, gave me much to think about. All of them are grounded in experience with kids and families, and are easy to use. A great resource!

This is a good book, but know that if you have the later book, Faithful Families, by the same author, then that is the more updated version. Love all the ideas, I just thought it would be more different than Faithful Families.

Great resource for busy families!
I am a pastor and a mother. And believe it or not, it is a struggle to integrate faith practices at home. I am so appreciative of this book! It is a quick and easy read - a must for busy parents. The practices are simple but deep and meaningful, and also very do-able, with great suggestions for modifying for ages and life stages. This book will continue to be a great resources as our children grow.

Seamless Faith is a great book to use in family ministries at a church
Seamless Faith is a great book to use in family ministries at a church. It provides helpful and practical tips for families to integrate their faith into their daily lives. I recommend it for small group book studies, individuals who want to incorporate spiritual disciplines in their family's lives, and to pastors and christian educators. I plan to use the ideas and principles in my family.Rev. Stephen McKinney-Whitaker

Great ideas for all
Great ideas for all, but especially families, to keep God in our every day lives, and realize the "usual" is worth celebrating.
