Anatomy and Dissection of the Fetal Pig (Freeman Laboratory Separates in Biology) Fifth Edition

I bought this book in a used condition described as having a fair amount of writing in it as well as wear and tear on the cover. The book came to me exactly as the seller had described it. I am pleased with the honesty of the seller as well as the condition of the book. It serves its purpose well as my dissection guide for my biology lab and the writing in it isn't too distracting and can even be helpful at times.

The diagrams in this book are hard to follow. I needed this exact copy for one of my college courses. It was very difficult to identify structures in the pig based on the drawings. The copy I got had photo copies of pages that were either torn out or had been lost (I'm not complaining, just stating the facts). However, I got the book for very cheap, and it was used, so I wasn't too upset about the pages. If you can get away with a different fetal pig manual, I would recommend it because this one is so hard to follow.

the item came in really good condition, but the only issue was that the back of the book cover was folded over. Everything else is great though.

This book proved to be an invaluable study and reference tool for my dissection of a fetal pig during my study of college general biology. It is full of pictures and diagrams and essential information that I referred to throughout the three lab sessions I spent dissecting the fetal pig.

terrible binding on this one, after a week 4 pages fell out, now about 6 weeks in the first 20 pages are coming out, as well as the glossary.

this book was useful in that it was very detailed, although i think for a more basic biology vertebrate class it was a little too extensive in the terms and parts of the pig. some of the pictures were hard to follow to find where the body parts were, especially in terms of the circulatory system. however, it had a great comparative anatomy of humans and cats, and fetal pigs.

My class used approximately the first 25 pages of the book...and the first 20 were missing from the book! I didn't realize this until November when we did the lab, at which point it was too late to return. Very unhappy that I spent money on a book I couldn't even use.
