Floating Hand Grip for Action Camera,Waterproof Floating Carbon Fiber,Compatible GoPro Hero 9/8/7/6/5 DJI OSMO Sports Camera Akaso Geekpro Xiaomi Yi Action Cameras

I was looking primarily for something that floats and couldn't pass up the price. Lightweight, floats girthy but feels good in the hand, black carbon fiber makes it discreet, and has a tripod mount on the bottom (mini tripod not included). It checks all marks. I like there is a lanyard hold and comes with one for added safety. What would be great if the top had a traditional quarter inch head to use with other non-gopro style devices, but hey it works. Not sure how I feel about the round gopro screw vs the normal square peg. Will have to test it in the water if it's slippery. So far so good.

I bought this handle because I was going to Hawaii and I wanted to do some snorkeling and catch footage of it. I chose this one, as opposed to the official go pro handle because there were a lot of really bad reviews on the go pro grip. There were a lot of complaints about the bottom portion that the lanyard connects to, coming off. They said that the go pro would sink to the bottom. Because of this, I wanted a handle where the bottom part didn’t have the option of coming off. I had no idea what carbon fiber was, so I didn’t know that the handle would be hard. Just so you know, carbon fiber is hard so it does not have that squishy material on the outside of the handle. I realized while I was snorkeling that I actually prefer that. It feels very study and it does in fact float. I would dive down under the water with it and when I would let go of it to swim back up, it was right next to me the whole time. The lanyard has a button to tighten it to your wrist which was another feature I didn’t really think about, but was super grateful for while I was out in the water. Because I was in salt water, some salt residue got stuck in between the grooves in the screw. I just grabbed a toothpick and picked it out. It wasn’t that big of a deal but it’s something to keep in mind because over time I can imagine that it would cause problems. All in all, I think this is a really great product!

This is light, but I was expecting it to be smaller/slimmer. But the value is there. Works great

First off let me say that this is a fantastic handle for your GoPro/action camera. It is made of super lightweight carbon fiber for the main handle tube, machined aluminum end caps for the gopro/camera mount and the bottom tripod mount. The shaft is approximately 8 inches long not including the GoPro mount. The threaded rod is steel that is bonded to a machined aluminum thumb/finger screw, unlike the cheap plastic ones that seem to come with all gopro mounts.The carbon fiber tube is beautiful, is light, stiff, and comfortable to hold and it floats so if you drop the camera it should be easier to find in the water. It doesn't have textured grip because whatever you add will take away from the beauty of the carbon fiber. It might get a little slippery if your hands get wet, but the lanyard will help from dropping the camera.This handle is worth 5 times what I paid for it, but for only $5???!!! Are you kidding me? How this company can make money on this I have no idea but you would do well to purchase one to keep in your bag of GoPro mounts, tools, and accessories.

This Action Cam holder works well with my DJI Osmo Action. I take it with me everywhere. It works wonders in the water and really good on dry land. It really floats so your action cam is always at the top of the water. Recommend.

Difficult to keep tight in water, and swimming with it was interesting.

This worked great for my go pro. Used with the underwater case. Took diving, swimming, and kayaking. No problems.

Perfect for the hubbys upcoming youtube channel. Helps him carry the GoPro better.
