Nice little rice cooker
I didn't get this for rice; rather, I got it to melt beeswax, so I got the cheapest one I could find. I didn't have the time to melt the beeswax so I actually tried it for cooking rice and was I pleasantly surprised. It's not fancy but it does the job. It has done so well that I have kept using it as a rice cooker. It definitely as some quirks, but overall it works well.As with any of these rice cookers they have their own measuring device. So, you can't just put in 1/2 cup of rice and cups of water. You have to use their "international rice measuring tool". It tells you this up front, but the goofiness of it didn't strike me until I got it and then forgot where I put the little measuring cup. This is not just a drawback of this cooker, it's the same with all of them. Evidently there is some fancy international standard for how to cook rice. So,here's a trick. Just put in a cup of rice and then put water in until it is over the rice by one finger tip. Just stick your finger in and if it comes up to the first joint you are good to go. It has some different criteria for brown rice, but I just ignore that and go with the finger method. The other annoying thing is that there is no automatic shut off or alarm when the rice is cooked. It just has an On switch and it's either cooking or "keep warm". If you don't turn it off the rice will be a bit burnt down at the bottom. This is a minor annoyance and I just set a timer for 15 minutes so it's definitely not a deal breaker. So,if you want a great value on a rice cooker give this one a dance. It does a great job and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. It's definitely something I would buy again and hopefully it will work well onthe bees wax too, but when I use it for bees wax it's no longer going to be useful for rice so I'll just buy another one.

Easy rice
It's very easy to use. However, the keep warm setting is a bit too warm, and rice gets stuck.

Good brand of rice cooker.
Rice cooks well. Just add the the right amount of water before you cook it. Always dry the bottom and sides of the pot before putting it in the rice cooker. Big help for busy people. Just unplug it when the rice is fully cooked for safety reasons.

Worked well til it didn’t
Worked great til it didn’t. Purchased early feb and worked well. No self shut off. Had it for two months and then it suddenly died in the middle of cooking rice. The pot was still warm so I decided to keep it on for a little longer to see if just the light broke. But came back to it 30 mins later and even though it has condensation and was still warm. The rice did not end up cooking. Too late for Amazon customer service so I guess I’m SOL…

Dishwasher safe top shelf
It’s not just for rice. It’s used every day in our house making oatmeal. It even softens the roasted cashews we love it. I find that if using with rice it calls for a bit more water so the rice doesn’t stick to the bottom. This is the third one we’ve had and it’s great. With cashews is smells delicious and the size is good enough for one person for sure two if you don’t eat an entire bowl of rice.

So so
It does cook rice very well but as other reviews have said it burns rice quickly if not removed from the pot as soon as its done. And as far as the pot being non stick, nope. Not a bit. I'm still soaking the pot to try and get the bottom clean. But overall for the price its a good buy for me. I'll just have to keep a closer eye on it and not trust the "warm" setting
