this miter box is not for daily use, it is for the occasional cut that the hobbyist makes, if you intend to do a lot of cutting spend the extra money and get a proper pro box, I have a aluminum box for daily use and keep this in a drawer in my workbench for those quick cuts and trims that don't justify breaking out the big box.

I needed a miter box for a 2 1/2 board.. this does not take it.. it has a max size of 2 in... After rereading I see it does say that in the desc.. still its useless to me.

It works last a descent time the cam design to the plastic pins grip well I think I had the last one I bought about eight years. The plastic started getting brittle.

All the angles you will need and handles 2 inch wide x 1/2 inch thick wood.

I purchased this miter box because I needed the 30 degree cut for a dollhouse I am building. I wanted something inexpensive as I will probably never us it again.Well, the other reviewer was correct, even my thinnest razor blade saw will not fit in the 30 degree slots. The blade is so tight within the slots that it will not move to cut the wood.Guess I'll keep looking.

It's cheap, but decent overall. The cam clamps are basically useless on slick materials like styrene or brass, though they may work on balsa (which is the main product from this manufacturer). I haven't put a ton of use to it yet, so I haven't experienced the slots wallowing out like others have suggested.Comparing to products from other manufacturers:Pros: - extra angles (30, 60, 67.5) - extended lip on the front to brace against a table edge or clamp in bench viseCons: - made from relatively soft plastic - cam clamps are of limited utility

simple, well made, well thought out. clever use of cams. note that it's made for use with TINY, THIN, RAZOR SAWS. the slots are extremely thin, so don't expect to use a backsaw or even a japanese pull saw.

This product is worthless in application. The slots are to narrow for both my razor and the thinnest of wood saws. Pins do not stay in place. Look elsewhere to avoid disappointment.

It's not for adult carpentry works. Its like children's play toy. Don't buy it Adults....

It's perfect for working with balsa which is what I bought it for.
