This brand of mixer,ever is perfect and nothing problem to mix,i tried before pionner ddj sr and really bad experience working with that mixer,a lot defect of factory come with it.HERCULES 4 MX AND THE REST OF LINE HERCULES MIXERS ARE PERFECT.if someone buy this product dont thing too much is great desition to bought,100 % secure.

It took me a very long time to set this up- first my laptop wasn’t compatible- next laptop drivers had to be updated- then didn’t recognize- speakers wouldn’t connect- too many problems to trouble shoot so after two weekends working on it I sent it back.

I’m not a DJ but enjoy playing around and this makes it easy to have fun.

For the price this controller has more features than some of the expensive controllers. I recommend this for anyone interested in becoming a DJ.

Since 2013 I have owned and operated my own online hip hop radio show, and since then I been trying to find a solution to make playing music on my show much easier than the classic style of dragging and dropping. So in addition to purchasing a Rodecaster Pro as the hub of my radio show, I was looking for a DJ Controller to add music while broadcasting. I've come across prominent brands such as Pioneer, Roland and Numark as well as other brands on the market. But after a few days of researching, I've come across this controller known as the Hercules Dj Impulse 300 Controller, which needless to say is one helluva steal for it's price of $199.99. Being a beginner DJ, I am still learning all of the intrakit techniques of mixing and scratching music using turntables and beat matching records, but with the Impulse 300, there are built in controls and features that helps to accelerate the learning curve. The jog wheel platters don't spin unfortunately, but the tension on the wheels helps simulate the feel of using DCV systems that you find with a lot of popular DJ mixers. The built in indicators on the controller helps you to beat match your records for a much smoother blend and transition for your songs. The tempo indicator allows dj's to control the mood of the party or broadcast by using a lighting system that tells the DJ the mood of each song (example, Red= High intensity; Blue= Low intensity). Although the unit is a plastic build, the quality feels amazing from the faders, knobs and pre mentioned jog wheels. Included in this package is a braided USB cable and the Impulse 300 also comes with a full version of the DJUCED DJ Software which in itself is a bargain that includes DJ tutorials and how to use the software. Everyone has their preferences when it comes to the tools they use, but as for me this Controller is definitely the best I have purchased thus far especially if you are in the market for an affordable controller and a great entry level controller at that. Thank you to the people over at Hercules for creating such a dope controller. I truly feel this will create a new standard for entry level controllers
