I tried the other brands and due to the size of the Cobra and the crane limits this is the only reloader I have found that will work without modification of the grip. The activation of the reloader is extremely stiff and very difficult to manipulate but I put a small amount of lube on the O-ring as suggested by another review and it work smooth and as it is intended. It fits in my Galco holder with no slop.I'm very happy with this purchase.

Had one of the openings that would not release the shell. Contacted seller and a replacement arrived within 3 days. Very responsive. Replacement works fine in S&W 357/38sp Model 19 Revolver.

Very secure grip on the 6 rounds; very quick release. Easy to use with 357 Colt King Cobra Target.( I did not try with original Colt grips; I’m using Pachmayr rubber grips.)

These are terrible, especially if it's your goal to load your revolver quickly. I have much cheaper speed loaders that hold and release the ammo with ease. The machining looks nice, that's about it. It's much to hard to load ammo with this speed loader to trust. At all.

Very well made and attractive. But once rounds are aligned and inserted into the revolver cylinder, it is relatively difficult to turn the knob to release them. Therefore, it is not as easy to use as other similar devices.

Trying to twist and loosen them can be a challenge at times especially with cold fingers and smaller frames that don’t have too much room for fingers to go between frame and button. Maybe they need to be worn in for smoother release. For me a push button release works better.

I was "on the fence" about ordering this because many reviewers have complained about the tightness of the loader. I already had the idea of using silicone since I understood these use o-rings for holding the rounds. Upon receiving, I tested the loader a few times and immediately found the complaints entirely valid. I then sprayed the O-ring with a bit of silicone spray and retested. The loader works flawlessly!!! Just use a bit of silicone... Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that these release with a counter clockwise twist ( like 5-stars do ). Excellent speedloader, will get more of 'em !!! ...and despite several reviews to the contrary, it definitely DOES work with the latest Colt King Cobra when using .38 spl!.... SILICONE SPRAY the O-RINGS!!!

These speed loaders, out of the box, are incredibly difficult to actuate when you try to use them. However, if you add some lube to the internal O-ring, they become SO much smoother.
