From the title: Is this 1 pound of tea, or enough tea for only 35 cups? Cannot be both, or that is really strong tea!

It’s a lot of tea. I have no idea how many cups it would ultimately be. It is a very strong tea regardless. I’m not really an Earl Gray fan but I like it with the lavender added.

Is this product in the original rishi packaging? How do I know that it's the actual Rishi product?

Yes, it is. We purchase 1 pound bags from Rishi at a deep discount in bulk. Both Rishi and Amazon allow us to act as a third party retailer in representing their product. It is no different than a store such as Walgreens selling retail products manufactured by the name brand company. We are a similar retailer with a storefront on Amazon as well as our own website.
