I have been searching for a wood burner to embellish the boxes I build for our store. I purchased a very inexpensive one on Amazon and it failed miserably. The seller offered me a full refund with no return needed. This was the second one I purchased and it is everything I need. It is so easy to use and unlike the cheap ones does not get too hot to handle while using it. Yes, the tip does cool quickly, but so did the cheap one. I like the fact that it does cool, it slows me down and that means a much better image with good control over the lines I burn. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone wanting to do some quality wood burning.

I was bummed that I had to return the exact same first one I purchased because it didn't heat. BUT, I am so happy I returned and reordered instead of giving up and purchasing something from a different vendor. I love love love my wood burner! I made so many Christmas presents with this - check out the intricate detail on the pizza peel that hubby made and I burned with my new Walnut Hollow burning pen! The door to the bee hive is a knothole - this burning pen glides easily over pine and curves around as if it were melting butter! Thank you AMAZON for an easy first return and a final product that is so fun to use!

For first time venturing into wood-burning, this is a great product. Easy to use and worked reliably well (even when I used it on oak wood which is pretty hard to burn, but it was the only wood I had available). Will definitely keep using it.

I always wanted a wire tip wood Burner and found this one and the price was right. I like the tool but after using it for about a month I have noticed if the tips are not tight you lose the heat. I think it is because of the way the tool rest is designed that it will only allow to rest on the rim where you insert the head/tip and allows for it to loosen or lose contact. They really need to make replacement tips for this unit as they tend to warp and I would like to see a variety of tips. Nice tool and I recommend. I also noticed that even though there is a dial for the heat it really only works on the high setting.

I am an absolute beginner and even I can see that the possibilities with this are endless. Very comfortable to hold. Heats really nicely and attains temps that really work. Like any other heating element the temp fluctuates a bit and it will start to not burn as easily or darkly with continuous use. Just pause for 10 seconds or so and it will again attain the heat you need. (The pause is the only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5). The tips are super simple to use and are designed so that only the part you want to touch the wood does. Very smart design. Other brands have tips that allow the shaft to touch and burn spots you don’t want to be burned unless you are much more skilled than I am.

Pros: - What I like the most it’s not feeling that my hand is on fire though it is hotter than craft burner but you won’t be needing gloves to keep your hands from the crazy heat. - Compact size - Prong tips (I love that they heat and cool down so quickly) -Great customer service as well. Cons: - The only cons I can give is that the heat retention goes down, so if you are burning for a while you will notice that the heat does go down even if you have it up to 10.

I have several woodburners and this is by far my favorite. I have gotten so many trying to find one that would get hot enough but would also be able to cool off quickly to change the tips. This is the only one I've found that can do that and more. Plus it only has 4 tips that can do everything a different wood burner with 40 tips can do. You can easily change out the tips, even if they're hot, with the tongs that are provided. I can't say enough about this burner. Highly recommend if it's your first wood burner or if you've been doing it for years. The only thing that could possibly make it better is if it had an auto shut off after not in use for a period of time because there has been times when I've gotten distracted and forgotten to shut it off and it will stay on until I remember and shut it off. I have had this machine for awhile and used it for long periods of time and it still works as well as the day I got it.

I started with the $15 cheapo that Walnut Hollow had. It worked great, but I couldn't get the definition that I wanted. So I decided to upgrade, hoping for higher temperature and better control... Plus to have a burner that was easier to hold since the temp control switch isn't in the cord with this one. I like it. It works, just very slowly! You have to be very patient and go over areas a few times (even on the highest heat setting). The hottest temp isn't hot enough and the tips don't stay hot. Being that I use mine for work, it's extremely important for me to have a high temp, fast burning wood burner. I am a little disappointed, as I do personalization while people wait... It makes "holiday rush" shopping very difficult and I lose sales because of it. Wish I knew of a better wood burner that was under $100. But I got what I paid for! It works, just not what I was hoping for.

ich bin komplett enttäuscht. Zum zweiten mal muss ich das Brenngerät zurückschicken. So wie es aussieht ist es nicht für Europädische Länder ausgestattet . Ich habe die Heiztemperatur nur auf Stufe 1 gestellt und hat es geglüht wie verrückt. Und nach einer Weile ist es komlett ausgegangen
