Barbieri Chinese Oracle

I think the person that gave this deck one star missed the point of the cards. You are supposed to choose one card from the black border and one from the white border. The reason the cards are the same is to show if your Yin is balanced to your Yang and vice versa. If the cards are not the same then they will offer clues along with your intuition to help you get into balance. It could also illustrate if perhaps your Yin is stronger than your Yang and vice versa. There's a few other ways to use the cards too like your shadow side versus your light side. I think they are genius in their simplicity and amazing in their artwork. If you read Tarot check out the Vice Versa deck as it shows the same card from different points of view. Maybe that will help you understand this Chinese oracle.

It's guidebook has little information and not very clear. The cards themselves have a yin and yang version of each of the 12 Chinese zodiac signs which is cool but the art of the Chinese zodiacs have not been changed so I feel cheated. Some cards are more slightly saturated than other cards. I feel like the creators of this deck we're not putting a lot of effort into the creation of this deck which is a shame because at the time of writing this how many Chinese zodiac oracle decks are out there? They could've been pioneers but instead they let us down.I would not recommend anyone to buy this unless you really love chinese zodiac and already have knowledge about that subject.

It’s a different type of deck for sure. It has 12 duplicated illustrations (12 as Yin, 12 as Yan), so 24 in total. I like that its a new concept.The illustrations are amazing!

I saw the deck in a store and bought it with no previous info on the author or the deck. I saw the box, the card image on it and was blown away. Only then i opened the deck and saw that the 12 cards of the chinese zodiac are repeated twice with only a diferance on the back color and on the colour of the spot were the name of the card is written, black for 12 and white for the other 12, to represent the yin and yang aspects of the same sign. It is shamless, being such a renowned artist as i now know, i felt riped off. The artwork of the cards is amazing, and the description on the booklet is good, very i ching-like, and i really liked that. But i can not accept that this strategy was a real necesity for the purpose of the ying yang representation. Cards should have been diferent in their images to achive the exact same thing, but respecting the buyer that is paying for a 24 card deck and not for a 12 card deck.

Paolo Barbieri is a recent artist for me and I'm already a big fan of his fantasy art. The drawings are surreal and absolutely extraordinary! The cards are of top quality as well and you can tell just from the feel.It comes in a good, solid box with the guide and well-packaged.When I saw this Dragon card, I couldn't pass it up and I'm very happy to add this beautiful, out-of-this-world deck to my tarot collection.

La calidad de las cartas es excelente, el arte de Barbieri queda plasmado en cada carta sin embargo no es un oráculo sencillo de interpretar cada carta tiene un lado Ying y otro Yang, la combinatoria de cartas hace todo un reto la lectura. No es un oráculo fácil para principiantes, se requiere ya de cierto grado de experiencia e intuición.

São apenas 12 cartas que são repetidas 2 vezes uma com a energia yin e outra com a yang. Carta frágil. Não acredito que seja um investimento útil

Les visuels des cartes sont somptueux, et le système de lecture tout à fait original.Le seul petit reproche que je pourrais lui faire est le dos des cartes. S'il est judicieux de pouvoir faire une première lecture énergétique sans même retourner celles-ci, au moment de les tirer il faut savoir se détacher du visuel qui peut nous influencer. Les cartes en elles-même auraient mérité d'être argentées sur tranche.Je recommande tout de même vivement :)
