Very tasty flavors has a tender consistency that is unlike any other candy. They are slightly lumpy when very fresh they have just the right amount of sweet not overboard at all. Came in white box with (mid 2017) sell by date. Made by Boston Fruit Slice & Conf Corp (2017). Comes with 4 colors red, green, yellow, orange and all have the rind look. No watermelon was my only disappointment. Flavors are good but green for example I couldn't tell you what it tastes like but I think they shot for apple. Red is another that is good but has no flavor I find exactly identifiable. Orange and lemon do seem to be the others pretty clearly though. I am happy with the purchase,

I'm not supposed to eat a lot of sweets cuz I'm a diabetic but these are perfect just a few taste delicious and it doesn't affect my sugar

I was not happy with this product!!! Taste was just fine and good. Got to me at a good time. I bought 2 bags. The reason I am very unhappy was I am making cupcakes for a wedding shower, and couldn't use over half of one bag because there were red and green sugars all over them. I am very upset and disappointed!!!! It was $24.00 for two bags and didn't get to use what I needed. So upsetting! Especially when I am doing it for my job. It is a waste of money.

These arrived in a timely manner and looked good upon arrival. They were fairly soft and chewy, not to hard, just like I like them. The orange, lemon, watermelon, etc, those were fantastic! The other ones like lime and I have no idea what all the flavors were - yeah those weren’t very good. If there was a way to just get the flavors I like, I would order these much more often. I would purchase again, for a party or event, but I do wish the flavors were better. I feel like 1/2 the box or so was yucky flavors, that’s just a waste.

Ordered 5 lbs. from Nutty Fruit Company. They came in a flat, white box with the fruit slices laid out on layers of wax paper, the layers stacked on top of each other (see the picture that another reviewer posted-looks just like mine). This keeps the candies from touching each other and allows air to circulate around each piece, keeping them dry. Two of the lime flavor slices were getting a bit sticky but all the others were in very good condition.The outside of the box had a label that stated these were made by the Albanese Confectionary Group of Merrillville, IN but the label also says 'Product Of canada'.I did get 11 of the 15 assorted flavors (I believe it's really 17).Believe it or not I actually separated and counted all the slices by flavor so I could include in my review what I got. Here's the assortment I got this time:Black Cherry-13Cherry or Raspberry (same color, can't differentiate) 15Grape-26Grapefruit-5Lemon-6Lemon-Lime-10Lime-8Orange-21Peach-41Green Apple-6Watermelon-9That's a total of 160 slices. And as fate would have it, peach is probably my least favorite flavor (except for Chili-Mango) and is the one I got the most of.I have ordered these exact same candies (made by the same company in the samel box-packaged identically) from another internet seller 2 other times in the past 12 years. The first time I ordered was the best assortment, but the second time the assortment was disappointing (only 7 flavors) with at least 2 of the 5 pounds being cherry and red raspberry and probably 1-1/2 pounds of strawberry banana (which were so vile I ate only two and tossed the rest of that flavor-I see now they have discontinued Strawberry-Banana-Thank Heavens).This was the first time I ordered these through Amazon and I got a much better price than the other guy, saved about $16.From this other website I see Albanese makes 17 different flavors: Black Cherry, Blue Raspberry, Cherry, Chili Mango, Coconut, Grape, Grapefruit, Lemon, Lemon-Lime. Lime, Orange, Peach, Pear, Pineapple, Red Raspberry. Sour Apple and Watermelon. (sorry to say I never received any Pineapple, Pear or Coconut in any of my orders and thankfully NO Chili Mango either) so you likely won't get them either.The slices have a moderate level of firmness. just right for this kind of candy. By the way, don't ever order these kind of slices from a seller that just packs them all in a bulk zip bag. When they all sit together in a bag like that touching each other the sugar coating starts to dissolve and they end up being a sticky gooey mess. That is why Albanese packages them the way they do.I would give them 4-1/2 stars, only because of the flavor assortment-lack of assortment problem. Each time you order, you'll get a very different selection-and hopefully not 2 pounds of the flavor you like least.

I 've been dieting and have been loosing weight but not any more; These are so good I ate a whole 5 lb box in 2 days whole watching TV. Now I am well into the second 5lblb box. I'm going to kill myself with these damn things. they're so good I can't stop eating them!They're soft 'n fresh 'n wonnnnderful. I ordered 3 more boxes & these are 10lb single flavor boxes... my favorite flavors, each 10lbs, 1 cherry, 1 apple & 1 watermelon. I expect them to arrive Monday,I have never had fruit slices I could eat when ever I wanted, at age 73 I've been asking for these since I was a baby. We always had them for Passover and my mother, my wife or my children told me when I couldn't have any more. Now I am a sick disabled old man who has lost the pain medication he's taken since age 17 due to this opioid crises. I took high doses of opioids since I was age 17. Not very many years ago I took 160mg of Oxycontin every 8 hours a day. Then my doctor died as the government was getting involved in he prescribing of opioids. I was unable to find another physician one who'd prescribe that amount pain medication or who would give me more than 80mg every 8 hrs. I've been on that dosage for quite a while. It's not as good as 160 but I am only in what I would say s severe pain much of the time, a 6 to 7 on a 10 point scale. At this pain level I was able to hold as many as 3 full time drive a car with no moving violations in the last 50 years, fly an airplane with no accidents or violations ever, play a major role in the development and building of the Stratosphere Tower Project in Las Vegas, completed 4 college degrees including a Ph.D.Then the oxycontin was almost completely taken away and at least I live in Nevada where things are a little more liberal. Marijuana is legal and it seems like there is an Apohathacary on every corner. I don't smoke pot, that's worse than cigarettes I already have pulmonary hypertension & smoking anything would kill me. I use transdermal patches. I just stick them on my chest & the cannabis is absorbed through my skin, I have a Medical Marijuana Card that allows me to get special pricing.So WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO ME? Id this stuff wasn't so damn good maybe I'll stop eating it.Three of my children are physicians, one of my children is a faculty member in a medical school. He is coming to visit with my grandson this week, I'm sure he'll read me the riot act, get me admitted to the hospital and take all the rest of the fruit slices home with him.
