Very simple overview with a ton of pages that are names and contacts. Broad overview in my mind.
I am an attorney who is also a nurse, so this may enjoy a higher rating with others. Much of the content of the book is pages of listing resources that I believe could be found on line by the layman. Nice very general overview, but not enough detail for me. Go to the government site for Social Security Diability for greater depth.

Less than full review
My limited use was very satisfactory. I must admit that my review is equally limited.

Ok if this is your only source, very little specifics, lots of almost useless material add to bulk it up
The author is earnest and tries to describe how the process works and the answers are evaluated. The material ends at 25% of book. Rest 75% is listing of Senators and Representatives and SSA offices which have very little use in most cases. And anyway people know how to find their representatives and SSA office locations. A single Google search can provide that. In other words 75% of fluff just to bulk up the book and justify the price. A single line with a internet address (like the one given for the SSA BlueBook) Can get the most up to date listing of representatives and SSA offices. Such listing in the book is just waste of paper. In my case I had glanced at the Nolo Book and looked at other SSD websites like disabilitysecrets.com. Also had talked to some attorneys. There is almost no new information in this book. Except for coming up with a few phrases I may be able to use in my description of disability, I could not find any use. If you don't know anything about this matter and have not looked at other sources, this may be ok. Things like steps in the disability process etc are common knowledge available at SSA site and multiple sources on the web.

Best book ever for those applying for Social Security Disability based on Mental Illness; Great for MD's, Psychologists
If you are applying for Social Security Disability, this is a must-read prior to submitting your paperwork, if you have a psychological claim.

General information about Disability requirements. I think the most important information is list of Congress at the end of the book.
