Tough 1 Neoprene Padded Halter with Antique Hardware Lead Set

This is for a full size horse. While the product looks to be of decent quality, once recieved i realized at that point it was way to large for our pony. there is no indication of this in description of product. Now I am being forced to pay return shipping since there is no size choice for the product.

I like the padded halter, but like others have mentioned, it got a bit rusted in midwest winters, though it was kept in a tack box, but the most distressing thing was that I've used the lead rope 3 times and it unraveled at the snap, allowing my 16h feisty gelding to live like the gate was left open....because it was...because I had him on a lead rope... that unraveled...

The halter is ok quality but I wouldn’t use it on a horse that acts up when tied. Mine doesn’t so it’s no problem. It is a little stiff, though.The lead rope isn’t great. It’s very thin almost for like a mini horse or small pony. The length is fine and I’m sure it would be fine to use with my horse but I like a heavier feel in a lead rope. I use my white cotton lead instead but it doesn’t have the copper finish snap so not exactly matching. I bought it for seasonal use. I really wish the lead rope was better I would’ve given it more stars.

I love this halter. The navy blue is true and the accents are copper. My horse is 15 hands and 1000 lbs. The sizing was correct. The clipping is a nice feature so you don't have to unbuckle the halter each time. Just set the appropriate size. Would definitely buy another one of these.

I got this for collecting my horse at the barn when COVID started and we had to supply our own lead ropes and halters to minimize contact. I wasn’t looking for fancy, just functional. This is very well made for the price and fits even the half draft horse I sometimes ride. Good value.

My horse loved it for the time I had it. Very cozy for his face and he was always relaxed to have it on. That being said, we got him from some people who treated him a little more than harshly which resulted in him being anxious and scared of quite a few things. We moved slow in his training to desensitize him to anything he was scared of, but during checking his feet, he got nervous and made a move to bolt, and that's when the halter broke. The lead rope is fine and quite durable, but I'd only recommend the halter for chiller horses that won't pull on the halter too much!

The fittings on the halter turned rusty after one afternoon in the rain. The leadrope is very stretchy which wasn't expected nor appreciated. The neoprene nose and poll lining is a nice feature.

Don’t waste your money!!!! Upon arrival the clasp on the end of the lead rope and the clasp on the halter we’re very difficult to open. I never did get the clasp on the lead rope to fully open. Sometimes it wouldn’t even open wide enough to get the metal halter ring through it when trying to connect it to the halter. On top of this, the clasp on the lead rope completely separated from the cotton lead portion after my mare tugged a bit on the lead while she was tied. I’ve only had this set for two months!

Super happy with this purchase! Especially love the clip option for quick (pre fitted) haltering! Very nice design and style. It is comfy for our mare and we love the color as well...we wanted either teal or purple and go figure this makes both sides happy lmao!Note the lead rope is a bonus inclusion for the price bit be aware it is a lite duty quality (mare chewed on it for a split second and frayed a fair bit while my back was turned lol). I’d have a back up lead rope for just Incase!

For the price this is great. Gave it to my 6 year old for Christmas. She loves blue and she loves having different halter/leadropes for her horse. However, her horse is a deadhead that doesn't pull back.
